    Author Notes:

    Alice & Lara take Dana home from the hospital; Carmen gets used to her new place; Max & Jenny talk about Max’s new job at InTech; Helena talks on the phone with someone; Brief appearances also by Bette, Angelica, Tina and Henry, as Bette is told something by Kit!

    Max: Again, I’m not sellin’ out, Jenny! How many times do I have to tell you that?

    Jenny: Until it sinks in that the same people who didn’t hire you as a woman just hired you to a nicer position as a man. You’re giving in to that…macho male dominated soceity bullshit, Max. That’s why I’m upset.

    Max looks off to the side for a moment before focusing on Jenny again with his arms crossed.

    Max: Alright…coupla quick things and we’re gonna drop this. First off….they got female employees there.

    Jenny: Oh, really…a few tokens?

    Max: Quite a few, actually. Some in higher positions.

    Max holds up her left hand, extending the index and middle fingers…

    Max: Second…

    …before placing both hands on the table and leaning in towards Jenny on the other side.

    Max: I wasn’t interviewed by the same guy. In fact, the first guy that interviewed me’s a dick. He’s still one at work. Second guy liked me just fine and hired me. So before you go off on another one of your fucking, "all men are evil," speeches, fucking think first.

    Jenny’s arms are crossed and her look is that of disgust.

    Jenny: My God…you’re turning into Tim.

    Max: Jen…the only thing I’m turnin’ into…is a man. And a real man ain’t gonna just stand there while you keep talkin’ ignorant shit about people ya don’t even know. Instead of lookin’ at my facial hair and my new job as an opportunity to judge me, just please…for once, show me some respect. We don’t have to be fuck buddies or married or any of that…I just…miss the support I used to have ‘fore these hormones started kickin’ in. I know it doesn’t seem to make sense to you, other than some story idea for a book. But…this is my life. This is it.

    Max throws up his hands.

    Max: I can’t fail now….’cause if I do, then I’m pretty much dead.

    Max’s voice begins to shake as fear sets in.

    Max: I don’t know if I can do this alone, Jenny… And I don’t wanna find out. ….I don’t…I don’t wanna have to fight everyone else…and you, too.

    1. I just want to shake Tina and ask her what was she thinking! Henry! Henry better be gone at the beginning of season 4! And please remove him from your story too…lol (that’s if you want to)

    3. It’s so sad that someone has to get hurt but this can’t go on for long. Dana needs to end this quick rather than late! (GO DANISH) oeps that just slipped out….sorry…Looking forward to your next chapter!

    5. Uuh oh, catfight brewing. Alice is being super territorial, Lara remains calm-ish (for now) and Dana is not indicating either way who she wants–love the drama! Maybe she’ll dump them both. Because it’s too hard to say who should be with her. No one deserves the hurt that it inevitable. Excellent post, keep it up!

    7. LOL @ the Lara/Alice fight over Dana… I wonder what’s gonna happen… TINA! GET YOUR ASS BACK TO YOUR WOMAN ASAP! Sigh… temporarily insane… i hope? *puppydogeyes*

    8. I don’t want Alice to be the one who gets hurt either. Dana is still recovering, but she’s really letting things go too far. Is she pushing the two of them together by suggesting they share the bed in the guest room? The longer she plays these games the harder it’s going to be on everyone.

    9. wow..that’s awkward. i mean i feel awkward just reading about dana alice and lara. its obvious someone is going to get hurt, and i just hope it isn’t alice. danish forever!!

    10. totally agree with adelefiz. i love dana but she really needs to choose between alice and lara before things get even more complicated, as i’m sure is about to happen. good job with the triangle. i’m definitely gonna be reading to find out where u go with it. of course, i’m pulling for danish. can’t help but love those 2 together!

    11. I really enjoyed this last update & can’t wait to see how you proceed with the Dana/Alice/Lara storyline. I’ll always be a Danish-shipper … but for now I’m enjoying the tension & humor.
