“Is Bette leaving Jody for you?”

“That’s something for Bette and I to decide.”

“Well!” . Helena said, opening the door furiously, “don’t expect me to wish you well,….And just so you know, when things don’t work out, As we both know they won’t___Don’t come calling, because I’ll already move on. And just so you know”   Helena said, spitefully, sarcasm dripping from her voice. “I was planning on leaving anyhow. You were always cold, you have no feelings. You are like a china doll, nice to look at, but useless.”. Helena said .And slammed the door in her exit.

“Ouch” Tina said.

Meanwhile:

Bette heard the doorbell chime inside the house and then approaching footsteps. Her gut tightened over how she would be greeted. _____

Maybe with the door slammed in her face.

 Was coming here a bad idea?

 Too late to change her mind now,  Because the door was pulled open and she was looking into Jody’s very pissed off face.

Jody opened the door wider signaling for Bette to enter.

Bette stepped through the door and turned to face Jody as she closed the door. Before Jody could say anything Bette said. “Jody, we need to talk”

“No shit!” Jody said sarcastically. “You have some nerve even coming here today after the way you left me hanging last night.”

Bette hung her head in shame. After she had l ran out on Jody last night, she had known it was wrong. Considering that Jody had no ride. But she had felt pressured by Alice and Shane and then Jody.

“I know that I did a very shitty thing last night, but I felt like I was being cornered.”

“Really? , cornered , or being called out?”

“I don’t know what the fuck you are talking about.”

“Of course you don’t Bette. You’ve been in denial for so long you even started fooling yourself.”

“You’ve lost me, Jody.” Bette said, taking a seat on the sofa. “I really don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.

“I know! poor, innocent Bette”  Jody said, as she sat beside her on the sofa. Caressing Bette’s face, “Sleeping with me, and all this time you were pining for your ex.” A reluctant smile drifted across her features as she removed her hand from Bette’s cheek as if she had suddenly been burnt.
