The two continued to finish their meals without hardly letting go of each others glances. The plates were cleared and the dessert menu was placed on the table. Dana looked into the deep brown pools of Alices` eyes and asked what she wanted for dessert. Alices` lips went dry and she looked into Danas` deep blue eyes and saw a passion there beyond anything she had ever seen. She looked down at the menu and said that she had better look at what to have, to which Dana replied that all that was on offer, was not on that menu! Alice blushed and smiled, then placed it down and asked Dana what she wanted. Dana whispered across the table ‘you’, but Alice just said I think I’ll have some strawberries and cream. They decided on sharing them as Alice said she didn’t want to be too full later!

When they had finished, Alice offered her credit card to Angelo and he said to Alice that there were a few reporters outside and a few photographers. Apparently someone had told them she was in the restaurant. Alice looked at Dana and apologised. Angelo then said he could get Johnny to park round the back and they could use the back exit if they wanted. Dana just sat there and said it would be fine, they would go out the front. She offered to pay for the meal but Alice said she had invited her. The manager took off with Alices` credit card to leave them to discuss what to do.

Alice and Dana stood at the front door. They both thanked the staff for looking after them and after Angelo hugged Alice he said he hoped to see her back soon, with the lovely Dana! Dana said she was sure they would be. Angelo bent to whisper in Danas` ear and said to please look after Alice, she had had a bad time lately and he really wanted someone to look after her and treat her well. Dana said she certainly would, given the chance. Both girls looked back and waved then Dana took Alices` hand and asked if she was ready. Alice nodded her head and looked scared to death. As Dana had taken her hand in her strong hand Alice felt a bit more confident. Dana looked at her and said not to be scared she would take care of her. Angelo opened the door and the girls exited.
