“Yes. I’d love to know what she was like.”
Bette sighed
“What do you love the most about her?”
“Her singing, she liked to sing Tell Laura I love by Ray Peterson, even though it was out of tune I still loved it, it used to make Angelica giggle every time she sang that song.” Bette continued.
“She would sing it every morning when she prepared breakfast for me and Angie. She also loved to read. She would read every type of book whether it was good or bad, it didn’t matter to her and then she’d tell you all the stories that she had read and she would do it in a way that would make you want to read them. I loved her cooking too. She always made sure we gathered once a week at Michael’s house because she knew how much he means to me. She would prepare all these wonderful meals and bring them over at Michael’s. After dinner we would sit down and play monopoly together.” She paused.
“She had been an only child and her parents had died, when she was only twelve years old, in a car accident. When I first told Michael that I was a lesbian and wanted to marry Julie he didn’t object. He just smiled. We got married right after we graduated highschool. Almost everyone in town loved Julie. I wish I’d listened to her earlier, you know…” She paused, meeting Tina’s eyes.

It is a start that they are beginning to talk about each other. Angelica is already feeling very comfortable with Tina and Bette seems to feel that way too. Glad that the story is not ending.
Tina is definitely the one who can make Bette smile again. And damn Jerry all to hell.

I always love the srories where Bette seems to just be falling all over herself even though she is an Alpha force of nature – there as entertaining as alice and her antics. Love this story, PPS!
