“What do you mean the report isn’t completed?” Peggy asks
bewildered. “Don’t you usually have the
yearend number projections done by now?”
“Well yes madam but Ms. Peabody had some issues with some of
the numbers and requested that we go back and verify them again. We are currently in the process of completing
that task.” The Peabody Foundation’s chief account was explaining to Peggy.
“Well I don’t care just send over the original report I need
to see something immediately. I will
expect it within the hour.” Peggy barks out and then hangs up the phone.
Picking the phone back up Peggy dials her close confidant
and lead attorney at the Peabody Foundation.
“Harry it’s me Peggy. How are you
dear? And your family? Excellent.
Harry listen I think I need your advice on a personal matter but it also
may concern the Foundation. Do you have
time today? Oh you are such a dear. I will see you this afternoon.”
Chapter 157 – Golden
The San Francisco District Attorney, Anthony Brown, is an
ambitious attorney that hasn’t been in office long. He was eager to make a name for himself. Anthony Brown is a gentleman, of medium
height and build, in his late thirties with his most remarkable feature being
his tremendous ambition, large as the
itself.
He has always had to work hard to get things in his life,
nothing has ever been given to him. He worked his way through law school,
achieving a level of academic scholarship despite the need to work two part
time jobs to pay for it. Always eager to
appear as a champion for the underdog, Anthony is hoping to take his office in
new directions, fighting for social justices in both areas of gay relationships
and racial discord.
When the attorney for the Pediatric Aids Foundation called
him, Anthony was almost drooling when he hung up the phone. This is exactly the kind of case he wanted to
build his reputation. Millionaire
heiress defrauding Foundation set up to help kids with a terminal disease. He couldn’t think of a better ‘Good versus
Evil’ cause. Despite only having
preliminary information Anthony immediately set two of the best investigators
his office had on the case. Their
initial report was back within two hours and it was very favorable.
“If all of this information proves to play out the way you
have it laid out here this appears to be an open and shut case against Ms.
Peabody.” Anthony says to Grace and the attorney for the Pediatric Aids
Foundation. Anthony had immediately
invited them to his office when the attorney called back requesting such a
meeting. They both were currently
sitting in Anthony’s office downtown. It
had taken less than an hour for him to clear his calendar. Anthony wanted nothing more than to proceed
in prosecuting a

So I take it from Alice’s remark that she was able to assuage Dana’s fears and they were able to add a chapter of their own to the bed’s saga. But will the bed ever recover?
For that matter, will Bette and Tina now be creeped out by their own bed?
