Since she was up early Bette figured she might as well go
into the office early. Things at the CAC
have been hectic lately with Bette still doing her old job as well as her new
one. Bette walked in and out of habit

Thinking that he is supposed to call if he has any problems,
Bette mentally makes a note to keep her cell phone close today. Walking into her office Bette smiles, on her
desk are all the files Bette should need for today’s activities. Today Bette was scheduled a series of
interviews as part of the search for her replacement. James had taken the time to lay out each
candidate’s file in the order of their appointment along with
her own replacement, she has grown to value

Taking off her suit coat and turning on her computer, Bette
left her office to move to the break room to also start the coffee as she felt
that today could prove to be a long day.
Chapter 106 – The Day
Continues
Tina arrived at her appointment well ahead of schedule. Seeing she had some time, she looked around
for somewhere to take a break for a moment and regroup. She wanted to shake off the effects of the
long drive before she had to be official in the meeting. Realizing that she probably gulped down twice
the amount of coffee she normally does Tina decides against the coffee shop on
the corner. The last thing she needed
was something to make her shake anymore.
Not really seeing anything that would give her some space and quiet she
decides to grab a quick bite.
Yes a little something to eat would help on two fronts, give
her a spot to hang for an hour or so and also put some food in her stomach to
absorb all the acid from the caffeine she has ingested. Finding a cute little deli, Tina parks and
makes her way in, looking around first to find the restroom.

Yes, the plot thickens and B&T need to prepare for battle. While Helena is laying out her devious plan by planting seeds about Bette’s character, B&T need to continue to explore the imformation about Helena’s fraud with other non-profit organizations. They also need to get swarn statements from the attendants in the delevery room (Remember, not only does Tina not know that Bette was there, neither does Helena.) Great story, pleast post again soon.
Helena just won’t quit, will she??? Why aren’t Bette and Tina talking about their apprenhensions??? Great story as always!!!

I have a bad feeling that Tina is going to have an accident on her way home. She will either die or be in a coma then Helen-a will try and claim Anna. I hope I’m wrong.
Two good chapters here as you set things in motion. You have created an atmosphere of expectation – something is going to happen and I don’t know if it’s good or bad. I’ll cross my fingers and trust in your capable storytelling.

I’ve just spent the last few days reading every chapter of this story and I just finished. I have loved every chapter and can’t wait for the next one.
Seeing how Bette’s grown and truly marvelling at her altruistic actions setting up the foundation. I like the way you came up with the name, I was wondering where it came from myself. I love that Alice figured it out in her dazed but apparently not so confused state.
All the tension of whether her and Tina would work out had me on the edge of my seat and sighing in frustration when the two of them were asking themselves the same questions and going through the same fears. At times I wanted to yell, ‘NOOOOOOOOOOO!’ and I’m sure a few times I actually did, lol.
I’m eagerly awaiting what comes next although I’m more than a little scared about what the Hellenator has up her sleeve. The way Bette and Tina are though in this story I know they’re gonna survive it, but I know that’s gonna be one hell of a storm.
Bring on the next chapter…

Now see, if you had taken the hamster ball route with Helena and dropped something very big from above during Tina’s MYV Dinner, none of this would be happening, but alas it has and SHSL is once again going to be the Phoenix rising out of the Ashes of Helena F’king Peabody, I’m sorry but that woman so grates on me, and here I am trying to keep myself calm!

The details about adoption were interesting. Makes the story more complete knowing what goes on behind the process.
Oh, it looks like Helena could have a hand in trying to prevent Bette from adopting Anna. But then again, she may end up withdrawing a bloody stump if she messes with Bette, Tina and Jack.
