Tina could tell from the look on Bettes face that she was frightened. With the bed raised just a bit so Bette was sitting up, Tina laid down on the left side of the bed next to Bette and pulled her into her arms. Cradling her gently Bette finally relaxed and rested her head on Tinas chest. Before long they had both drifted off to sleep.
Hours later they both woke to the sound of Bettes nurse bringing a food tray in with broth. Tina got up so she could help Bette sit up straight to eat. Just as Tina began feeding Bette Stacey and Whit knocked on the door and came in.
Hey buddy, how are you feeling? Whit asked.
She cant talk to much Whit and she is gets very mad. Tina said.
Bette, it’s ok to be mad. But you will get better, ok. It’s going to take some time and hard work, but I know you can do it. You did it for me once before remember? Stacey said as she leaned down and gave Bette a kiss on the cheek. Then turning to hug and kiss Tina as well.
Baby, come on you need to try to eat some more please. Tina asked holding the spoon to Bettes mouth.
Shaking her head Bette seemed more embarrassed since Stacey and Whit arrived. She refused to eat. Stacey noticed this and mentioned that they should leave and let Bette get some rest.
Alright buddy, so I guess you are being lazy say? Whit said as she rolled her chair closer.
Bette tried to speak, but again her words were just mumbled. She was getting extremely red in her face and Tina and Stacey could see this was not going to be good.
Well you need to get your lazy ***** out of the bed and get home soon. You have a promise to keep and dont think just because you had a stroke that I am going to let you off that easy. Whit said taking Bettes left hand a giving it a squeeze.
Tears began to fall from both Bette and Whits eyes as Bette tried to smile and squeezed Whits hand back.

Damn, does it ever end? I had stroke 2/2003, left side still screwed up. Bette must be ok, thanks for the chapter.
You can not keeping these through, so much tournment, it is a bit cruel, exept, I undersand the concept, please give them a little respite. But I do look forward to your next chapter.

now dont take this the wrong way, i love your story. i have since the first chapter. i have one question though… do you like bette at all? i mean you just give here more and more sickness. its like you are still punishing her for hurting tina. please go easy on her?
yeah i agree with some of the readers here – it does seem you have a ‘fondness’ of torturing the B&T family and the gang with all these sickness; melodramas etc. do you derive pleasure in making ppl suffer – dont you think the world is bad enough with all the sufferings that you must keep doing this. you reminded me of ano writer who also loves to inflict pain and torture throughout the entire story on B and it still going on it seems. come on there is always a rainbow at the end of the rain – other than that i like yout story still (for the time being until i see how far you go with these sufferings).
I am so sad right now. How will she ever be able to hold and play with her children? I have a huge lump in my throat cause I’m trying not to cry!!! Evil I say!!! j/k (about the evil). Could you would you please make Bette the way she was before she had the stroke. I know it’s not realistic to all of a sudden have her make a full recovery but could you do it just once for all of us Bette and Tina (they will live happily ever after) fans???? :(

I feel sorry for bette’s run of bad luck also, but she always has a way of bouncing back. keep up the writing. i love your story.

You could be a writer for the daytime soaps :-) which I love btw! .. Just got caught up and can’t believe all the drama that continues in the lives of these folks. Never a dull moment when I read your chapters. Great update. btw – saw the pic in the N&O also. Hope that eventually everything will work out for you and the rest of the folks that have been caught up in this mess.
I love your story, but I must agree with soui, can Bette get a BREAK and not her leg. I know there must be drama, but why must it always be at Bette’s expense. PLEASE give the girl a break, and let someone else carry the drama. Hot danget! Just let Bette be healthy for a NICE change.
