It’s Friday night the opening of Bettes show. Everyone will be there. Famous Artist, celebritys, family and friends are there for this huge show that Bette and James have worked so hard to put together the past few months. Last minute problems had Bette overly stressing when some Art work crashed to the floor. It was undamaged and quickly placed back in its spot.
So now everything is going great. The doors only opened thirty minutes ago, but it is so crowded Bette can’t find Tina. Finally she sees Tina standing with Whit and the gang next to the bar. Making her way over to them she feels light headed as she is stopped by one of the reporters. Giving a short interview she then excuses herself and continues over towards Tina.
After talking to everyone it is time for Bette to make a speech. Kissing Tina sweetly and then making her way up to the podium the crowd started to quiet down. Everyone was moving closer, Tina smiles in awe of how beautiful her wife looks tonight.
Bette looks at among the crowd and begins her speech smiling down at Tina.
“Thank you ladies and gentleman for coming this beautiful night. It has been a long and winding road to get to this point. I could not be where I am without the love and support of my beautiful wife. I love you Tina. I’ve had a lot happen to me this past year and I wasn’t sure if I could even return to the thing that I love to do. Art. Art is my passion.
As Bette continued her speech she feels wetness on her upper lip. Thinking Oh God not now. Wiping her lip she abruptly stopped and turns to James to take over as she fled the stage. Tina seeing this follows behind Bette towards her office bathroom. Bette locked the door behind her as she began washing her hands and grabbed a cloth. Tina knocked on the door asking Bette to let her in. Finally with the blood gone for the moment Bette opened the door.
I’m more than ok honey. I just felt a little light headed. I should have eaten today I know. Bette said.

Damn, does it ever end? I had stroke 2/2003, left side still screwed up. Bette must be ok, thanks for the chapter.
You can not keeping these through, so much tournment, it is a bit cruel, exept, I undersand the concept, please give them a little respite. But I do look forward to your next chapter.

now dont take this the wrong way, i love your story. i have since the first chapter. i have one question though… do you like bette at all? i mean you just give here more and more sickness. its like you are still punishing her for hurting tina. please go easy on her?
yeah i agree with some of the readers here – it does seem you have a ‘fondness’ of torturing the B&T family and the gang with all these sickness; melodramas etc. do you derive pleasure in making ppl suffer – dont you think the world is bad enough with all the sufferings that you must keep doing this. you reminded me of ano writer who also loves to inflict pain and torture throughout the entire story on B and it still going on it seems. come on there is always a rainbow at the end of the rain – other than that i like yout story still (for the time being until i see how far you go with these sufferings).
I am so sad right now. How will she ever be able to hold and play with her children? I have a huge lump in my throat cause I’m trying not to cry!!! Evil I say!!! j/k (about the evil). Could you would you please make Bette the way she was before she had the stroke. I know it’s not realistic to all of a sudden have her make a full recovery but could you do it just once for all of us Bette and Tina (they will live happily ever after) fans???? :(

I feel sorry for bette’s run of bad luck also, but she always has a way of bouncing back. keep up the writing. i love your story.

You could be a writer for the daytime soaps :-) which I love btw! .. Just got caught up and can’t believe all the drama that continues in the lives of these folks. Never a dull moment when I read your chapters. Great update. btw – saw the pic in the N&O also. Hope that eventually everything will work out for you and the rest of the folks that have been caught up in this mess.
I love your story, but I must agree with soui, can Bette get a BREAK and not her leg. I know there must be drama, but why must it always be at Bette’s expense. PLEASE give the girl a break, and let someone else carry the drama. Hot danget! Just let Bette be healthy for a NICE change.
