Fear, fearful, fearless

The long black lashes fluttered a little as the brunette started to wake up. She squirmed further into the comforting warmth and softness of Tina’s embrace. The first thing she saw was the strand of blonde hair fallen into her face. It brought her a big smile. She looked up, and crashed into the amazing hazel eyes, clouded with some watery glimmers as they rested on her. “What’s wrong…”
“Nothing. Are you hungry, you must be starving.” It was almost two in the afternoon.
Bette also searched for the clock. She figured most people would be back by now. “No.” She stretched a little and sat up against the headboard.
“Well I am.” Tina untangled herself from the woman, trying to get out of the bed. But soon she was captured by her waist and pulled back up into bed, this time her back against the brunette’s chest.
“No, you don’t want to eat now, trust me.” It wasn’t a joke. There was no joking in her tone. Bette wanted the blonde to understand what was going to happen, while she also wanted to shield her from everything. But she knew Jorge. Nobody could be excused and nobody got an out. She put her chin on Tina’s shoulder and swayed a little, savoring the moment because she knew the next moment would be harsh.
Tina smiled, liking the feeling of Bette’s arms around her. Then frowned, not understanding her tone. “Why?”
With a deep sigh, Bette felt it was time to start preparing themselves. “I don’t want you to get nervous, ok? But most likely this afternoon he is going to do the house cleaning.” The soft and slender body in her arms stiffed. But she continued either way. “When I say that, I mean someone is gonna take the fall and that someone, will be… dead.”
“Bette—”
“He will want everybody there so you need to be prepared.”
“Bette, I will be ok.” She was trained to be ok, to be calm and sharp in extreme situations.
Bette really wanted to believe that. But she knew it was not true. Nobody would be ok with this, maybe except Jorge himself and Jodi the lunatic. She herself couldn’t prepare enough. What she had seen, and was about to see again, were enough to haunt her for the rest of her life. She would do anything to bear the blonde all of it, she would. While now there was nothing she could do to prevent any of this, she had to toughen up for Tina. “T, listen to me. When we go down stairs, don’t draw any attention to yourself, stay by my side at all time and hold my hand ok? Let me know you’re there with me, ok?” She had her own fears, but this situation required her to be fearless, and knowing she could protect Tina gave her the courage to be fearless.

It’s been a long day worrying about our dear sweet Pie. She just messaged me, so she’s out of the woods and recovering. Wish her a very speedy recovery and come back to us soon.
I want to dedicate this chapter to Pie, although it is a little…violent, well, maybe next chapter then!
Also SO to the lovely ladies reading and commenting, and being so supportive and kind this entire day. Now we can all settle down and take a nice long breath haaaaaaaaa….
And for the covering pic, yeah, I always envision Jason Stantham as the gentlemanly villain of my story.
I hope you all like how I took care of Henry/Eric. He deserved what he got. So… one less thing to worry about.
Of course I left you with a teaser, coz I’m a terrible tease. And the playfulness returned to me as I knew my friend was ok.
Peace :)
This chapter, like the last few days worrying about Pie, was intense! Dedicate the next one to our Sweet Pie.
Having awoken this morning to a DM from Pie I even forgive you your teasers.
Thank you for your comments and to you and all the others who have been a part of these last worrying days thank you for your prayers.
Peace:)
