Everything to Everybody Chptr. 40
"Ok I’ll tell Bette when she wakes up. Bye, sweetie." Tina softly closed the door. She leaned against the door for a while as she just thought about the way Bette made her feel sometimes, the way she would sometimes hold her when she got home from work, the way she would whisper little endearments in her ear constantly, and even the way she would she would kiss the top of her head in the morning as a small hello. This feeling of being loved was beautifully overwhelming. She walked over to where Bette was asleep, pushed her hair behind her ears and leaned over, kissed her cheek and softly whispered in her ear "I love you." and she sealed that declaration with another kiss. Tina decided to go get in the shower and by that time Bette should be awake and hungry.
As soon as Tina kissed her the first time Bette woke up and heard her softly say the words that meant everything to her. Bette opened her eyes and saw where Tina had neatly left the pictures on the coffee table and covered her with a blanket to let her sleep a little while longer. Bette looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was a little past 2. She got up and quietly went into the kitchen to make them a small fruit salad to go along with whatever food Tina wanted to eat later. After Bette ate some of the salad and heard that Tina was still in the shower she went and made the bed. As she was lifting the bedspread, the heavenly fragrance of Tina hit her. Her perfume mixed with her shampoo was so intoxicating.
Tina finished her shower and felt really refreshed, the shower washed away the morning’s tension and totally relaxed her. She grabbed her towel off the hook by the shower and wrapped herself up with it. She walked over to the sink and brushed her teeth. After she was finished she smiled at the mirror to check her smile as she was looking at her teeth she noticed the way her cheeks would rise when she smiled, she noticed the crook of her eyes would bend as well. She was looking at her face for the first time, She was seeing for the first time the beauty that Bette and so many others saw in her. She noticed the curl of her eye lashes, the ridge of her nose, her lips were like her mother’s in every way. She let her eyes fall as far as the medicine cabinet mirror would allow. And suddenly she wanted to see more, she had to see more of herself. With her towel still wrapped around herself she walked into Bette’s bedroom, she stood in front of the full length mirror and looked at the way her neck met her shoulders. The dip of her throat and the curve it took to meet her collarbone. And all the dimples along the way and the reaction she got when Bette would kiss them. She looked at the top of the towel still around her breast, with her right hand clenched at the corner to secure it to her body. Slowly she loosened her grip and watched as the drenched towel fell to the floor in a whirl, lastly touching her thighs as it fell.

Damn girl that was so beautiful. I am so moved what a thought to just be who I am and be worthy of love. Thanks for making my Friday.
Don’t why, but I feel so touched when Tina is finally able to love herself and love Bette unconditionally because of Bette’s unconditional love. That’s so pure.
Loving yourself and your body seems to be the hardest thing to do for most people. Tina finally took that step and now can except Bette’s love and return that same love to Bette.
Wow that was beautiful and love they way about Tina love her body now. Ok post soon please, thanks!
Tina has self acceptance of her body and that is a beautiful thing. ( not that it would be too hard to have self acceptance of a body that gorgeous. LOL) But I think no matter how other’s may view us, each of us needs to love ourselves first, before we can allow anyone else in. Beautiful chapter and a great reminder to all of us.
Good luck on the interview. Thanks for posting. This story is beautiful.
