    Chapter 8

    Previously…

    “Let’s get you back to the house… let me help you up.” Tina reached out and when Bette took her hand there was an electricity between them that neither woman could deny. The feelings between them were so strong but neither of them were willing to admit it to the other…yet!

     

    Tina helped Bette to her feet, she was unable to put weight on the foot. “Bette why don’t you let me go get the car and come get you, I don’t want you putting any weight on that foot”

    “Tina that’s silly I can make it back…” Bette was met with a don’t even start look from Tina “…with your help that is.” Bette flashed the Porter smile and Tina couldn’t help but let out a giggle.

    “My my haven’t you changed your tune!” Tina said as she slid her arm around Bette’s waist to support her and pulled Bette’s arm around her shoulder. The contact made both women weak in the knees. Tina took a deep breath trying to settle the butterflies in her stomach. She looked into Bette’s eyes “Are you ready?”

    “Yeah I’m ready” Bette replied not breaking her gaze away from Tina. Bette thought to herself ‘If you only knew how ready I am to explore something new with you!’

    Tina got lost in Bette’s beautiful deep brown eyes. ‘What I wouldn’t give to spend more time with this woman’

    They slowly made their way back to Tina’s home, partly because of Bette’s ankle and partly because neither wanted to break the close contact they shared with the other.

    “You doing alright Ba..Bette? You need to take a break?” Tina asked hoping her slip would have gone unnoticed, it did not. Bette wondered why she stopped herself.

    “T” she asked shyly. Tina looked toward her. “Why did you stop yourself?”

    Tina felt her cheeks flush. “I guess… I.. I didn’t know if it would be alright.” Tina looked toward Bette with hope and fear in her eyes.

    “T it’s more than alright” Bette smiled “ T you have to promise me that no matter what it is when it comes to us you will follow your heart. You won’t ever go wrong if you just follow your heart.” Bette leaned over and gave Tina a kiss on her forehead.

    4. Wow that was a great chapter glad they quickly got over the mis-understanding that Kate was anything more than the friend, and lets hope Bette opens up to Tina, looking forward to more.
