“Mommy wait.” Sky ran back and stood in front of Judge Kroll’s gigantic desk. “Excuse me please” Sky said politely as she gently tapped the front of the desk.

Judge Kroll stood and looked down at the little girl over the top of her desk. “Yes young lady. How can I help you?”

“Mam… you didn’t say my Momma and my Mommy’s names changed to… We are all Porter-Kennards now right?”

“Well no Skyler. Your Momma and Mommy’s name didn’t change. Just you children.”

“That’s not fair… You have to fix it!” Skyler yelled! Bette and Tina rushed in to retrieve their daughter astounded by the fact their daughter was currently yelling at the judge.

“I am so sorry your honor” Bette said as Tina knelt down to talk to Sky.

“Sky honey… your Mommy and I don’t get to change our names until we get married. Remember we talked about it. Mommy and I are going to have our wedding after Gavin is born.

“That’s not fair Momma.. you promised we were going to be a family!! And families have the same name!”

“And we will honey after the wedding. I promise.”

“But we want to be a family now.”

“Uh hum… I hope I am not overstepping my bounds, but I could solve that problem for you right now if you would like.”

Bette and Tina looked up at the judge not quite sure what she was referring to.

“I normally would not even suggest this let alone in front of the children, from the looks of the the rings on your fingers the two of you plan to get married, am I correct?”

“Yes.. yes we do once this little guy makes his grand entrance” Bette answered.

“If it would be acceptable to the two of you I would be happy to marry you now, in my chambers, your names would change as of today along with the children’s, you could still have your wedding whenever you choose.”

Bette and Tina looked at each other. Neither sure what to think of the offer.
