Alice had finished unpacking the bag and put the items on the dresser.
“I think I’ll take a little nap if you don’t mind…” Dana leapt off the bed. “No problem, Al, you get some rest and I’ll have lunch ready when you get up.” She helped Alice into bed and kissed her forehead. “Just call if you need anything.”
“Thanks, Dane.” Alice said — as her eyes already started to close. Dana quietly left the room and kept the door slightly ajar so she could listen for any problems.
Alice was sleeping restlessly. She tossed and turned on the bed.
She and Dana were walked hand-in-hand along the pristine beach smiling at each other and enjoying the beautiful day.
Suddenly dark clouds started building, the surf started churning and lightning flashed.
The sand grew in front on them in a large pillar. The sand ran off and there stood Jackie.
“Never, Bitch!” She said as she took a large hunting knife and swiped it across Dana’s throat. Blood came pouring out and Dana fell to the ground as Jackie turned to Alice with the blood-splattered knife.
“Look what you made me do now, Alice!” Jackie’s eyes flashed red as she pointed to Dana with her knife. The athlete’s life blood was poring into the sand.
“You’ll wish you were dead when I am done with you…” Jackie walked towards Alice with blazing eyes.
Dana heard the scream as she sat in the living room. She was in Alice’s room in the blink of an eye to find Alice sitting bolt upright on the bed.
The writer was screaming incoherently and thrashing side to side. Dana got quickly on the bed to capture Alice’s arms to keep her from hurting herself. She tried to calm the writer down with soothing words and it wasn’t working.
She increased the volume of her voice and lightly shook the writer — Dana was trying any way she could to get Alice to wake out of this dream.
Finally Alice came back to herself. She was still panicked, but, not as frantic. She looked wild-eyed around the room until her eyes set on Dana. She started crying and fell into the athlete’s arms.
Alice was sweating profusely and her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest. She couldn’t seem to catch her breath.

You did a great job with A trying to make up her mind coming or going. D was articulate with her rationale and I really like how she stepped up to the plate and being honest. “butch lezzie athlete, then follow me, Butch..babe magnet”? Excellent! What a nightmare it was! Joining HF, next round, plz take with my vaporizer gun, blast it towards Jackie , reduce her to a pile of sand and make her disappear forever and ever. Thank you again, MaGoose. Fantastic!
Well sorry i havent commented before on ur story but i wanted to be caught up before did. I LOVE this story u write it almost perfectly :) I loved so many things about this chapter but my favourite and most touching for me has to be wen Dana puts her hand on Alice to stop her opening the door and breathe please al dont go. Tht was so touching for me i could imagine it so well lol. Well anyways i hate Jackie love Al and Dana cant wait to see where ur story goes next and loving evry word so far please continue. x x
I can’t help but see the strength Dana has right now. And Alice admitting that she’s afraid of Jackie, screaming it no less; that’s some deep stuff. Fight it, Alice. Fight.
Man I needed to stop to get a beer after Al’s nightmare to calm my wee heart..excellent writing and leave it to Alice to be more concerned for Dana then herself, the whole calling Dana a butch was classic it’s nice that they can fall back into the teasing it should help in the long run.
Awww, my poor Alice. I know I say that every time, but I know how it feels to have an appointment with a counselor trigger some nightmares. I’m just glad Dana is such a wall of support right now, and I’m glad she’s not letting Alice leave. They’re so damn cute together, and there were some subtle hints in this one that Alice is still attracted to Dana. Of course it’d be wildly inappropriate for anything like that right now, but it’s nice to know it’s not just Dana. And yeah, you might wanna check on that package. She doesn’t weigh much and might waste away completely by the time she returns to sender. Here’s hoping neither of us get stuck for a long while!
You become angry yourself,that one human can make another person so afraid. Afraid that your friends can or will get hurt. Poor Alice,has forgotten that she has some tough friend,s very classic,but can stand toe to toe with someone that will try to hurt one of them. thanks

aw, “babe” – now that’s so cute and sweet. I really like this mature Dana. I know some people who think of her as tiny and goofy but nothing else. It almost kinda pisses me off to hear that. I know Dana has depth and she just didn’t have the chance to show much of her persona (aside from being cute and funny) in the show until her last season. So, I really love reading about her in these kinds of situations because i can totally see her being like this and protecting Alice. thanks, very awesome :)
i love this story!! hmm theres a little something somthing in the air that was nice of dana to say about the babe thing.. hmm its hard to be angry at dana for hurting alice before cuz of everything shes doing for her now but i still dnt think it shuld be too easy for dana to get alice back theres alot of proving to be done..as well as kicking jackies stupid ass pps :)

NO dana isn’t too perfect, i’m just worried that she will get too worn down emotionally from all this.will the others help to give dana a break? she can’t be with alice 24/7 with this type of emotional stuff going on… great update :)
