Chapter 8 – Last Night at Beach – Time to Dance

Tina:  Do you want to nap a little or do you want to get up and start our day?

Bette:  Why don’t we go shower together and get our day started. I think I’m going to do some research on that surprise for you. Do you want me to go ahead and make your return plane reservations?  I can also book a car to pick you and Angie up and get you to the airport on time. I’ll tell them that you will have four large pieces of luggage to check plus a carry-on piece each.

Tina:  I hope Angie does not have that many clothes to ship back here.

Bette:  Well, if she doesn’t, bring some of our clothes or some of Daniels. Just utilize the space you have to our maximum benefit. We are going to have to move that stuff anyway, so this would save some money and time.

Tina:  That’s a good idea. If I have extra time, I’ll get some boxes or suitcases and pack some of our personal stuff like photos and memorabilia. What about your art work?

Bette:  I probably should think about selling most of that. I’ll talk to Paris and see if she thinks I should try to sell it in New York or ship it here and let our gallery handle it. I’ll let you know before you leave for New York. I want to leave it up until Marilyn sees the apartment. If she wants any of the pieces, I want her to have first choice. Maybe she can see the apartment early in the week. Of course, if Helena or Dylan want some of it, I could sell it to them as well.

Tina:  Do you really want to sell it?

Bette:  I think so.  I think this home we need to start fresh. Besides, I think my in-house artist may produce a piece or two that we may want to display and keep as a future investment. We have a new life here. We are going to need some new art to complement our home.

Tina:  I just hope I can produce something worth hanging in anyone’s home.

Bette:  Whatever you do, it will be fine as long as it makes you happy. If other’s find it desirable, that will be a plus. But we are never going to know that until you start to work on them.

    1. I worked hard to get Wheezy into this story and I knew that if someone would not change a bit it would be Wheezy.

And Bette is still confused about Miss Wheezy.

      Thanks for reading….
