    Author Notes:

    Chapter 28 – Bette is tired and would like to rest.

    “Yes, Bette. Tina here is your wife. She’s also you emergency contact person so she was the first one here when we brought you in.”

    “Oh. Thanks for looking out after me.” Bette said looking at Tina.

     “We’ll leave you here with Kit while I talk to your wife. You get some rest and I’ll see you again tomorrow.” The doctor said.

    “Ok. Thanks! Uhm, doc?” Bette asked when the doctor turned for the door.

    “Yes?”

    “When can I go home?”

    “Let’s see how your progress is, OK? Hopefully once all is well, you’ll be able to go home within a couple of days.”

    “That’s nice to hear. Thank you again.”

    “You’re welcome. Tina, can I speak with you outside?”

    “I’ll be right there.” Tina went to Bette and kissed her on the head. “I’ll just be outside and I’ll see you in a bit.”

    Kit on the other hand stayed.

    “Hey baby sis, how are you doing?” Kit asked sitting beside Bette’s bed.

    “I’m as confused as hell, Kit.” Bette looked at Kit with tears in her eyes.

    “I don’t remember who Tina is. When did I get married?”

    “Just last week. I’m here for your wedding. What do you remember, Bette?”

    “All I know is that I don’t have any recollection of my-so-called wife but I do remember that Jodi and I have something special between the two of us. Jodi’s my girlfriend and I want to be with her.” Bette said crying.

     

    Outside…

    “What’s wrong with her, doc?” Tina asked.

    “Bette is suffering from amnesia. This might be the effect of the bump she had on her head.”

    Tears started falling from Tina’s eyes. “Can it be cured?”

    “We are not sure if this is a short-term amnesia or if it’s long term, Tina. We have to do tests to determine that.”

    “In case you failed to notice, my wife doesn’t recognize me! My wife who I have been married to for a week doesn’t recognize me. Please do what you have to do to know how you can cure her. I want her back.” Tina yelled and started sobbing loudly.

    That’s all it took for the doctor’s resolve to melt away. She gathered the crying blonde in her arms and comforted her.

    3. Excellent story. But why Jodi! Sigh! I know you will fix this but soon please can’t stand to see Bette not remembering Tina. Thank you for this story.

    5. Well, even though this is a horrible situation and Bette wants monster face maybe Tina should hook up with the doc. No just kidding but it may help Tina if the doctor is there to help. Let Bette go with monster face and see how long that will last.

    6. Oh, I see our Dr. M. has to be Sam, and I know that Bette has no re-call, but even being told that Tina is her wife, she still wants Jodi, like I said before, there are those truly unresolved feelings coming through.

    7. Urgggggggg!!!!!!!, B, of all people to have Bette fall in love with, you had to choose JODI. BLAH!!!!!! This is a great story. Yea, you need to fix this. My g/f and school are keeping me very busy. Im getting married when I finish school and get my shit together. I have a few classes left. WooooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooo.

    10. Just as everyone else, I HATE JODI!!!!!!!. Please don’t let her be in the story too long and she should have the character to tell Bette that they are not together and she will not be back. But no, she plays it for all its worth. Thanks for posting.
