    Chapter 28 – Bette is tired and would like to rest.

    Chapter 28

    Tina felt like she has just been punched in the stomach when she heard Bette ask who she is. She strode to Bette and took her hand away from Jodi. She looked into Bette’s eyes and did not see her lover’s eyes. What she saw was confusion.

    “Hi baby. It’s me, Tina, your wife. How are you feeling?” Tina said while caressing her wife’s hand.

    “I’m tired. I would like to rest please.” Bette quietly said while taking her hand away from Tina.

    Tina’s heart was breaking. Her wife doesn’t recognize her. Bette doesn’t recognize her! Then she remembered that she had to be strong for the two of them.

    “Oh, ok.” Tina said with a sniff. “We’ll let you rest. I’ll just go outside and talk to the nurse and everyone else will just be outside.”

    “Thank you.” Bette said.

    Everyone started on their way out before they heard Bette say “Jodi, can you please stay.”

    They all stopped moving. Jodi looked at Tina as if asking for permission. Bette looked from Tina to Jodi whispering “Please let her stay.”

    Tina gave a nod before heading out with the rest of the gang. Once outside, Tina closed the door with her back on it. She started crying with her hands on her face and she started sliding towards the floor. Helena caught her in time.

    “She doesn’t recognize me. My own wife doesn’t recognize me. What happened to my Bette?” Tina said letting all the tears she had kept inside while in front of Bette out.

    Dr. Makavajiev was in the room with Bette, Tina and Kit. She was told about what happened earlier and clearly Bette is suffering from amnesia.

    “Hi Bette, my name’s Dr. Makavajiev. I am your attending physician.”

    “Hi. Thanks for taking care of me.” Bette politely said.

    “It’s my job. You were in an accident, do you remember that?”

    “Uhm, no, not really.”

    “You were in an accident this morning. You were on your bike when you got hit by a car. You did not suffer any major concussion but it looks like you have amnesia. Do you know who Kit is?”

    “Yes, Kit’s my sister.”

    “That’s good, how about Tina?”

    “I’m sorry but I don’t recall who she is but I was told that she’s my wife.” Bette carefully explained.

    3. Excellent story. But why Jodi! Sigh! I know you will fix this but soon please can’t stand to see Bette not remembering Tina. Thank you for this story.

    5. Well, even though this is a horrible situation and Bette wants monster face maybe Tina should hook up with the doc. No just kidding but it may help Tina if the doctor is there to help. Let Bette go with monster face and see how long that will last.

    6. Oh, I see our Dr. M. has to be Sam, and I know that Bette has no re-call, but even being told that Tina is her wife, she still wants Jodi, like I said before, there are those truly unresolved feelings coming through.

    7. Urgggggggg!!!!!!!, B, of all people to have Bette fall in love with, you had to choose JODI. BLAH!!!!!! This is a great story. Yea, you need to fix this. My g/f and school are keeping me very busy. Im getting married when I finish school and get my shit together. I have a few classes left. WooooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooo.

    10. Just as everyone else, I HATE JODI!!!!!!!. Please don’t let her be in the story too long and she should have the character to tell Bette that they are not together and she will not be back. But no, she plays it for all its worth. Thanks for posting.
