Hearing the word ICU made Tina’s face go white. How bad was the accident?

“How do I get there?” Tina asked.

“Down the hall then turn left. It’s the last door for that wing.” The nurse instructed.

Tina rushed to the room bracing herself for seeing her wife for the very first time after the accident. She carefully opened the door and went in. Tears immediately fell upon setting sight on her wife. There was Bette with bandage wrapped around her head and bruises all over her arms. Tina slowly walked to Bette’s side.

“Oh baby.” Tina said holding on to Bette’s hand.

Tina was unaware how long she had been in the room when she heard a knock. A woman in a white coat came in and introduced herself as the doctor who saw Bette when she was brought in.

“Hi Mrs. Porter-Kennard. I am Dr. Makavajiev, would it be OK if we talk about your wife for a bit.” The doctor asked.

“Hi, doc. Please call me Tina. Yes, I do have questions about my wife’s condition.”

“Ok, Tina. She was hit by a car while on her bike. It’s a good thing she had her helmet on and that served its purpose but we are suspecting that she still hit her head pretty badly. We checked for concussions and found none. She is still on sedatives but she should wake up soon. I would like to warn you that she will be in lots of pain and ask for the nurse once she wakes so they can call me and check on her. Your wife is very lucky.”

Tina was sobbing all the time that the doctor was telling her about Bette’s condition. How could have this happened to her wife.

“Why is she on ICU and not the regular rooms? Is there something else?”

“We just wanted to make sure that we have everything before we settle her in. This is just a precautionary step Tina. As soon as she wakes up and all are verified to be fine, we’ll move her to a regular room.”

“What happened to the driver that hit her?”

“He’s with the police. You’re wife is a victim of drunk-driving. From what we gathered, he was on his way home when he hit Bette on her bike.”

    1. After realizing that Jodi had nothing to do with the accident and that drama was upon us, I knew that this was the way you would take this story, because in many ways Bette never did get the chance to really deal with her true feelings for Jodi while she was across the country,in Italy, she just let them go because Tina came into her life, and now we will get to read how she truly feels, this is going to be so sad and hurtful for Tina, and a little hard for me to read for a while, but I believe in your heart as a true Tibetter, so I will suffer through for a few chapters, but after this, I want a proper Honeymoon with Tina and Bette.

    2. Hey B., Its great to see you back. This is awesome. Just like your other stories. Now, why would you subject me to Jodi again!?!?!?!?!?!? LOL. You know how much I HATE her. B, I hoping you fix this soon. Not to mention what you’ve done to Tina heart.Miss u lik crzy.
