Chapter 27
Another hour had passed and there’s still no sign of Bette. Tina was on the verge of tears when the phone rang. Thinking it was Bette Tina raced through the door to answer the phone.
“Bette?” Tina asked.
“Hi, I am looking for Mrs. Tina Kennard-Porter.” A man said on the other line.
“Yes, this is Tina.” Tina replied with her heart racing.
“Hi Mrs. Kennard-Porter, this is Arthur from Divine Mercy hospital, I am sorry ma’am but your wife got into an accident and she was brought in here earlier. Her ID says you’re her contact for emergency person.”
Tina dropped her mug when she heard that Bette was in an accident. The crash brought her back to reality.
“I will be there in a bit. What room is she in?” Tina asked, her voice quivering.
“She’s still in the OR. The doctors are checking on her. She had a helmet on but she still suffered a nasty bump but she should be out in the next hour or so. Please just head to the nurse’s station and inform them who you are. They’ll tell you where your wife is.”
“Thank you.” Tina said before hanging up and letting the tears fall. “Oh, babe, what happened to you? Please be alright.”
Tina was on her way to the hospital when she rang Alice.
“Hey TK, we’re here at The Planet. You and Porter are the only ones missing, want to join us?” Alice said.
“Al, Bette’s been in an accident. I am heading over to the hospital.” Tina said through her sobs.
“Shit! Are you OK? What hospital, we’ll meet you there.”
The mere mention of the word “hospital” made Shane, Kit, Helena and Jodi stop their talk and focus their attention to Alice.
“Ok, ok. We’ll meet you there. Hang on, Tina. Bette will be ok.” Alice said before hanging up.
“What happened?” Kit was the first to ask.
“Bette was in an accident. Tina is on her way to Divine Mercy where Bette is. Tina is distraught.”
The group asked for the bill and immediately went to the hospital.

“I am looking for my wife, Bette Porter-Kennard.” Tina asked in haste when she reached the nurse’s station.
“She just got out of the OR. She’s in ICU room number one. I’ll tell the doctor you’re here so she can talk to you about your wife’s condition.”

After realizing that Jodi had nothing to do with the accident and that drama was upon us, I knew that this was the way you would take this story, because in many ways Bette never did get the chance to really deal with her true feelings for Jodi while she was across the country,in Italy, she just let them go because Tina came into her life, and now we will get to read how she truly feels, this is going to be so sad and hurtful for Tina, and a little hard for me to read for a while, but I believe in your heart as a true Tibetter, so I will suffer through for a few chapters, but after this, I want a proper Honeymoon with Tina and Bette.
Oh man! How could you do this to us? So not right. Please fix this. please :)
Oh no, it is bad enough that Bette is hurt but she has been put into a twilight version of of the jodi and Bette show. Please fix this soon.
