Tina was still crying… as Bette pulled her close…
Bette: Baby listen … we are going to be fine… the baby is fine… please you have to relax…
Tina: I don’t know what I would have done if I had to come in here alone…
Bette: First of all, I would have moved mountains to get here… so please never forget that… and I think Jill would have came in with you…
Tina: Your right… I guess I should get changed…
Bette: Yeah before the doctor comes in…
Tina was just getting up on the table when they heard a knock on the door….
Dr. Wilson: As she opens the door… may I come in ladies… ok Tina I understand you spotted… well lets take a look… (As she listens) … she smiles… well Tina I still hear 2 heartbeats… so that’s a very good sign… now please just bend your knees for me… (She puts on a glove and some Ky-Jelly) ok Tina now just relax… every thing feels as it should…
Bette: Oh thank God…
Dr. Wilson: Now the nurse will bring you in some water to drink and when you finish we will do the sonogram… Breathe Tina… I am 99% sure she is fine… a lot of women spot and some even have periods each month… so no need to worry… I’ll be back…
Bette: She must be busy today…
Tina: I know did you see all the women in the waiting room… I’m glad they took us right in…
Nurse: Ok Tina here is your water… drink up and press the call button when you are done and we will be back…
Tina: Ok thanks…
15 minutes later… Bette pressed the call button and the nurse came in… And soon Doctor Wilson was back….
The Doctor applied the gel and started… and soon the baby was forming on the screen… she would point out different parts…
Dr. Wilson: There’s the head… and arms… back… legs… and I’m sorry to say but it looks like the baby is shy… so we won’t know if its a boy or a girl…
Bette: So much for Alice’s theory…
Tina: (Looking at the doctor)… believe me you don’t want to know…
Dr. Wilson: See there is the heart beating… you baby looks very content… and growing very nicely… (As she wipes the gel off of Tina’s belly)… and you are also doing wonderful… so Tina keep doing what you are doing… your weight is normal… and your blood work was fine… so don’t let this worry you… but just as a precaution… Bette… during sex, no penetration… until your next visit… and then I will let you know…
Bette: Not to worry Doctor… I understand…
Dr. Wilson: Good because I never say no sex… I know how my patients get… and we don’t want a frustrated pregnant women, now do we
Bette: You can say that again…
The Doctor leaves and Bette takes Tina into her arms…
Bette: Everything is fine baby… let me help you get dressed…
Tina: Thank God I was so scared…
Bette: Maybe you should take a day off… we can call your mom… see is she could come up a day earlier…
Tina: I think I will…
Walking back… Jill runs up to them and they fill her in…
Jill: (Taking Tina into her arms)… See… what did I tell you… (Smiling)…
As they walk out the door…
Tina: Jill I can’t thank you enough…
Jill: No need… Tee I love you too…
Tina: And I love you too… I have no idea what I would of done without you the last 3 years…
Jill: Well get used to it… we are friends for life… That also includes you Bette…
Bette: I know and I also love you… and you are the best friend to Tina…
Jill: So you’re taking the day off tomorrow RIGHT…
Tina: As a matter of fact I am…
Jill: Good … Bette I can take her home for you if you have to get back…
Bette: Thanks … but I think I will take her home and put her to bed…
Jill: Sounds like a plan to me… (Kissing them both goodbye)… Call me if you need anything…
Bette takes Tina home and puts her to bed… makes her a cup of tea…
Tina: I know you have to go back…
Bette: I will be back before you know it… and I’ll call Kit to bring you some soup…
Tina: I love you…
Bette: I love you more…

Wheww,I’m glad everything turned out OK for Bette and Tina. I didn’t know what to think when Tina said she was bleeding and I’m glad Bette dropped everything and got to the hospital to be with Tina. PPS

Hey lady, count on keep that cough for a while. I resorted to egual amount whiskey ,lemon juice , and honey, Helped the cough, if you take enough,Yes my dear you get to the point,you don’t know you are coughing. Really does help. Loved how Bette droped everything to go to Tina, and that Jill is just a good friend. Get to feeling better. Sorry about the Mets we have next yr. thanks
MG, I would say that was spot on, but I’m not British. Sorry about the cough, I know how nagging and persistant they can be, especially if you have to do a lot of talking. I like bettyv’s remedy. I may try it even though I don’t have a cough at the moment.
I had a godawful nagging cough and cold for a month after I came back from a trip to Florida 3 years ago. I basically had to just wait it out for it all to end, but the doctor said it looked a lot like mono. Come to think of it, I had a crappy cold starting from the end of my trip to London last year as well. Bleh. Anyway, I’m glad the baby is alright. I knew you wouldn’t let our girls suffer. *hugs*
