    “Come away with me?”

     

    Roxanne:  “is this the first time?”

     

    Harmony:  “Yeah sorta.”

     

    Roxanne sat and stared for a moment.

     

    Harmony:  “You ok?  You seem to be taking this more serious then I am.”

     

    Roxanne:  “Oh sorry it’s just you need to take this serious too.”

     

    Harmony:  “I know and I do.  But this feels good.   I just want to enjoy it.”

     

    Roxanne:  “And you shouldcongratulations!

     

    She feigned a smile and raised her glass.

     

    Roxanne:  “To new beginnings.”

     

    They toasted.

     

    Bette and Tina’s 11 pm

     

    Tina was preparing to go out.

     

    Bette:  “Tina can I talk to you for a min?”

     

    Tina:  “Now?  I’m on my way out.”

     

    Bette:  “well it is kinda important.  It shouldn’t take long.”

     

    Tina:  “Alright but I’m gonnna keep getting ready.”

     

    Bette:  “That’s fine.”

     

    Tina:  “So what’s up?”

     

    Bette:  “UmI’m going away this weekend.”

     

    Tina:  “Going away?”

     

    Bette:  “yeah with my friend.”

     

    Tina:  “for how long?”

     

    Bette:  “Tomorrow to Monday.”

     

    Tina:  “Well who’s gonna watch Angelica while your gone tom and Monday while I’m at work?”

     

    Bette:  “I dunno Angus.  I’m sure Kit wouldn’t mind..Or I could take her with me.”

     

    Tina:  “What?!  No!  You will not have my child around another woman.”

     

    Bette:  “ok fine but her being around other  people is an issue we need to face.”

     

    Tina:  “Well not now.  I don’t appreciate you putting her off on other people.”

     

    Bette:  “I’m not.  I’m just going away for a few days that’s it.”

     

    Tina:  “Well while your off enjoying your weekend she’ll be with a sitter.  Real nice.  We never spoke about you taking weekend getaways when we spoke about you staying home.

     

    Bette:  “We never spoke about you sleeping with men either!”

     

    Tina:  “That’s not the point, how are we gonna pay for Angus.”

     

    Bette:  “Well you’ll be happy to know what I’m taking a teaching job with UCLA.  So our money problem will be over and you can stop  treating me like a child.”

     

    Tina:  “We need to talk about this”

     

    Bette:  “No!  There’s nothing to talk about.  You walk around here and don’t give a damn about my feelings, like working with Helena for example.  Its time I do the same.  I’m leaving in  the morning.  I’ll make sure there’s a sitter here tomorrow and on Monday.

    6. First off great chapter. 2nd like I believe alot of us is thinking roxy is in love with Harmony. I hope bette does not get hurt, she really deserves to happy. I hope tina really starts to fihure out she is losing Bette. Great chapter once again.

    7. Great chapter and great to see Bette finally getting some happiness in her life. Although she is going out with this woman, she still loves and misses Tina. Tina should have her behind kicked for not telling Bette that she still loves her. This affair may prove to be Tina’s undoing. Let’s see if Bette can be intimate with Harmony. My money says she will not be able to do so even though she wants to. Thanks for the post.

Well that was another great chapter,im so glad Bettes standing up to Tina,I think Tina likes the idea of Bette just being in limbo!…Well..Hun cant have your cake and eat it!!!did like that “nap N nuzzle” bit, tho shame Bette freaked but understandable…erither way i love it!

    15. Glad to see Bette stand up to Tina. with Bette teaching they will need a baby sitter anyway. This will put Tina in a bind. She has got to think more of Anglica now GO Bette Go and be happy. Dont think Tina knew that Bette was still wanted by someone else …..thanks
