Harmony sat at her desk like a small child on Christmas Eve waiting for her best friend to come down the hall. They began working at the firm around the same year and helped each other break through the class ceiling most women hit. They had become very good friends in the process. They never developed a sexual relationship except for some harmless flirtation due to the fact that Roxanne was bi-sexual but tended to lean more towards men. Roxanne did her two quick knocks to signify its was her then walked in.
Roxanne: “What’s up?”
Roxanne was a short Irish woman with short red hair. She was small in the waste and had a muscular physic. It was obvious she cheer leaded in college.
Harmony: “Roxy! You will no believe the afternoon I’ve had.”
Roxanne: “Brady on your back?”
Harmony: “Of course, but not that.”
Roxanne sat down and looked at Harmony strangely. She wasn’t used to seeing Harmony so excited. Except for work related incidents she was rather subdued.
Roxanne: “So what?”
Harmony: “I had lunch with Bette ‘hot stuff’ Porter”
Roxanne: “No?! You’re kidding. How’d that happen?”
Harmony: “You know that lil caf downtown, the planet?”
Roxanne: “Um, yeah it’s a night club too right?”
Harmony: “Yeah I think it is. Anyway her sister owns the place.”
Roxanne: “ohh the singer. I heard she turned the place around.”
Harmony: “Yeah it’s a nice joint. But back on topic. I’m there doing leg work for Brady so I decided to stop off and get a bite. Then this ass hole guy spills coffee all over me.”
Roxanne looks at her perplexed.
Roxanne: “Magic coffee?”
Harmony: “Huh? Oh right listen. So I’m going at it with the guy and she and her sister jump in. He punks out and leaves. Bette offers to help me clean up. She ends up washing my blazer for me.”
Roxanne: “Wow”
Harmony: “I know. So afterwards we get to talking and chatting. I didn’t recognize her at first cuz she looks different now and I haven’t seen her in years. She’s like domestic and stuff.”
Roxanna: “Ack really?”

Hey Vibes can we convince you to write a few stories in which Bette dates every colour in the rainbow. You already gave us MK(African American) now we have HS(Native American) next I hope you give us( Chinese American or I don’t know what’s exotic maybe (Brazillian American). Just so you know j’adore your writing and mad skills at getting Bette to hook up with some fine women while she gets over the hell that is Tina.

They say people fall in love with utterly opposite people, but stay with alike. Bette and HS are similar in a lot of ways. So hope they could bring each other real happiness. But of course by now, HS is more like thrilled by the idea of dating the ‘famous’ Bette Potter instead of knowing her and loving her. But we’ll see. On the other hand, I still hold a faint hope in Tina.
This is what i have been waiting for Bette going forward and not backward, and Tina seeing two beautiful ladies going out, and one was at one time her woman. Hope she is looking out the window at them. Like the way Bette said this is angelic Mother Tina thanks
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. Never thought I would want to see Tina get her comeuppance. But damn that was over the top. Bette looking like a million dollars and with a beautiful woman to boot. Yea, go Bette, with your bad self. Bette needs this and Tina does too. Now she sees how it feels. Happy for Bette. Although I still want to see them work things out. Gret story. Thanks for the post.

LOL I had to laugh when Bette handed Tina flowers given to her by another woman, and asked her to put them in water!! What a great in your face move!! Looking forward to the party, and to Tina’s reaction as she looks down at the flowers that are now in her hands!! Thanks!
