When Harmony returned to her office she was sure to rush straight in just in case her boss was on the floor. She came in and her assistant immediately followed.
Stacy: “You were gone longer then usual.”
Harmony: “I had the best lunch ever.”
Stacy: “Was the food that good?”
Harmony: “Food? I don’t think I even ate.”
Stacy: “So what was so good about it?”
Stacy and Harmony were friends but Harmony didn’t feel comfortable telling her secretary her business. Especially since the secretaries had a reputation for getting together and gossiping on a regular basis.
Harmony: “IahJust got alotta work done.”
Stacy: “Well I’m glad about that cuz Jackie’s been roaming the halls like a mad woman”
Harmony: “What now?”
Stacy: “Apparently Brady’s been stressing.”
Harmony: “Why?! I give him what he wants and so much more every year for 9 years now. He shouldn’t have a care in the world in regards to this party.”
Stacy: “He keeps changing his mind.”
She reaches over and hands her a small stack of pink papers and a folder.
Stacy: “Here are your messages and those are the changes he ordered.”
Harmony opens the file and skims it.
Harmony: “What?! Is he crazy? He’s changing everything except the location! I cant make these changes in a week!”
Stacy: “Sorry boss lady.”
Harmony: “Where’s Jackie?”
Stacy: “Meeting with the big boys”
Harmony lit up.
Harmony: “About me you think. I’m due for a promotion.”
Stacy: “You know we mere peons have no idea what’s going on in the big meetings.”
Harmony: “I also know you can find out.”
Stacy smiled.
Stacy: “True”
Harmony: “Get on it Nancy Drew.”
Stacy laughed and walked out. Harmony sat looking at the file with the wind sucked out of her sails. She then realized she had great news. She dialed a 4 digit extension.
Secretary: Roxanne Harry’s office, how may I help you?”
Harmony: “Hey Donna, she in?”
Secretary: “What’s up? Yeah.”
Harmony: “Tell her to come down here when she gets a sec please?”
Secretary: “Sure”
Harmony: “thanks.

Hey Vibes can we convince you to write a few stories in which Bette dates every colour in the rainbow. You already gave us MK(African American) now we have HS(Native American) next I hope you give us( Chinese American or I don’t know what’s exotic maybe (Brazillian American). Just so you know j’adore your writing and mad skills at getting Bette to hook up with some fine women while she gets over the hell that is Tina.

They say people fall in love with utterly opposite people, but stay with alike. Bette and HS are similar in a lot of ways. So hope they could bring each other real happiness. But of course by now, HS is more like thrilled by the idea of dating the ‘famous’ Bette Potter instead of knowing her and loving her. But we’ll see. On the other hand, I still hold a faint hope in Tina.
This is what i have been waiting for Bette going forward and not backward, and Tina seeing two beautiful ladies going out, and one was at one time her woman. Hope she is looking out the window at them. Like the way Bette said this is angelic Mother Tina thanks
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. Never thought I would want to see Tina get her comeuppance. But damn that was over the top. Bette looking like a million dollars and with a beautiful woman to boot. Yea, go Bette, with your bad self. Bette needs this and Tina does too. Now she sees how it feels. Happy for Bette. Although I still want to see them work things out. Gret story. Thanks for the post.
