Harmony’s office

Roxanne came back around lunch time with a plan.  She told Harmony they had to check an event location then go to lunch.  Harmony didn’t care she was just going through the motions.  They hoped in the car and headed out.

The Planet

After Bette spoke to Kit she grabbed a table and some lunch.  It was too early for any of the gang to be there.  Bette welcomed the alone time.

A little while later Roxanne was pulling her car up the front of the planet.

Harmony:   “What are we doing here?”

Roxanne:  “Lunch.  I’m starving.”

Harmony:  “I don’t have much of an appetite.  Don’t we have a location to scout?”

Roxanne:  “Yeah but I still need to eat.”

Harmony breathed heavily and got out.  She was trying to take her mind off Bette, being where they met wouldn’t help her one bit.  Roxanne knew this was Bette’s sisters joint.  If nothing else she would run into her, tell Bette, and maybe Bette would call.  The chances of that were slim however after the stunt Roxanne pulled that night Bette came by.  Roxanne regretted that as soon as she did it.  She was now trying to make amends. 

They went in and as soon as they did they saw Bette sitting, her back towards the door.  Harmony froze like a deer in headlights. 

Harmony:  “Rox lets go.  I don’t want to be here.”

Roxanne:  “No.  You two need to talk.  Cuz frankly I’m tired of hearing about it.”

Harmony turned and looked at Roxanne.  Roxanne truly was a good friend to her in spite of her faults.  Harmony grabbed the side of Roxanne’s face and looked into her eyes.

Harmony:  “I’m sorry.”

She placed a kiss on her forehead.

Harmony:  “I love you Rox”

Roxanne:  “I know.  Now go get your woman.”

She feigned a smile and turned and left.  Roxanne broke down and cried the second she reached the safety of car.  She had given away her best friend and the woman she loved to another woman.  She felt she did the right thing but she felt like an idiot none the less.  She couldn’t watch Harmony’s pain any longer.  As she cried Roxanne heard a faint knock on her window.  There before her stood a Hindu American beauty.   She was tall and slender and wore a navy blue business suit.  Roxanne rolled her window down.
