“What?!” Helena was shocked.

“Look, let’s not think about that now.” Bette said. Helena wanted to protest but Bette silenced her with a dazzling kiss. “Your mother is waiting.” She said when she pulled away. Helena had a big grin on her face.

“Uhu…” Was her only replay. Bette chuckled and together they walked to Helena’s car.

They arrived at L’Amuse at 6:55PM. Hand in hand, they walked inside. A waiter led them to a secluded table where Peggy Peabody was seated. When the older woman saw her daughter and Bette, she stood up and walked up to them.

“Helena! So nice to see you.” She hugged her daughter.

“Hello, Mummy.” Helena said. Then Peggy looked at Bette.

“Bette, Darling, it’s always a pleasure to see you.” She told her.

“That’s likewise, Peggy.”

“Let’s sit down.” Peggy suggested. They did what Peggy said and sat down.

“So, how long have you two been fucking?” Peggy asked. She would never change. Before Bette could respond, Helena began talking.

“Actually, Mummy, we haven’t fucked yet.”

“Well, well, Bette Porter, I would’ve never thought that you would wait…” Peggy said. “Now how long are you two dating then?”

“Only a week Mum.” Helena said.

Peggy nodded. “Let’s order. I’m starving.”

The dinner with Peggy was going good. Besides the usual Peggy-remarks, everything was going fine.

“So, when can I see my grandchildren again, Helena?” Peggy asked.

“They are coming over next weekend.” Helena answered.

“Helena, it’s okay if I come and spoil them, right?”

“Yeah, sure, Mummy, but Saturday we are taking them, Angelica and Manu to the zoo.”

“Then I’ll come to your house Sunday.”

“Okay, Mummy.”

They finished eating.

“Hey, Sweetheart, you want to go home?” Bette asked Helena who smiled at her.

“Yeah, that would be nice, I’m pretty tired.” Helena answered.

“Okay, I’m just going to the toilette and then we’ll leave.” Bette said. She kissed Helena sweetly on the lips and then walked to the bathroom. Helena followed the woman with her eyes and Peggy smiled.

“Helena, you are staring.” Was her dry remark. Helena looked at her mother and smiled.

“Well, I like to stare at her.” Helena said.

“Now I have your attention, I want to tell you I have met someone.”
