Shane gets into her truck and takes a deep breath and sits back reflecting on her situation. She lites a cigarette and starts her car and begins the drive home.  On the drive home she thinks about how to deal with the current situation.

Shane: I gotta get this shit together…(taking  a drag off of her cigarette)

The rest of the ride home she just thinks about how much she loves Carmen. When she gets home and pulls in the driveway right after Carmen and jumps out of her truck to go open the car door for her wife.

Shane: I got you (opening the door)

Carmen: good to know (smiling then kissing shane softly)

They get into the house and Carmen goes to the couch and turns on the tv the channel surf and shane gets herself a beer and carmen a bottle of water.

Carmen: thank you baby

Shane: how was your appointment…tell me everything

Carmen: ok, well…Dr. Howard says that everything is going as planned, the heartbeat is perfect, and everything is developing as it should…

Shane: wow (looking amazed) that is awesome, do you know what it is

Carmen: nope..babe we’ve made it this far without knowing I think we can finish it out…

Shane: your right…we can finish. But I do have something to show you

Carmen takes shanes hand and follows her down the hall to the nursery. Carmen gasp at all the work shane has done. She walks over and touches the crib.  And looks at the light yellow paint she fell in love with.

Carmen: I thought it was out of stock. (eyes filling with tears)

Shane: I looked all over the internet and found it in Arizona. (walking over to her and pulling her close) is everything ok love

Carmen: yes, im just so happy….and I love the light yellow paint…

Shane: anything to make you happy, even if it means you cry…

Carmen: shut up (hitting her playfully)..are you hungry?

Shane: yea….ill go get something

Carmen: you just got home ill make something go relax

Shane walks over to the couch and lays down reaching for the remote. She could smell food coming from the kitchen and felt her stomach growl.  She began to feel relaxed. Knowing that her home was back to being intact.
