    Trouble in paradise? (part 3/3)

     

    Alice:  “Angelica?”

     

    Bette:  “Yes you know the baby?”

     

    Alice:  “Tina came and got her.”

     

    Bette:  “What?”

     

    Alice:  “I thought she told you that.”

     

    Bette:  “No she didn’t.”

     

    Alice:  “Ohh I’m sorry I thought you knew.  I bought her the cutest…”

     

    Bette began to head towards the door as she pulled out her cell.

     

    Alice:  “See you later!”

     

    She had to practically yell down the hall as she closed her door and tried to hold in her laugh until Bette got on the elevator.

     

    Bette walked to her car and began to tear into Tina.

     

    Bette:  “Tina why didn’t you tell me you were picking up Angelica?!”

     

    Tina:  “What are you talking about?   I told you I would need her an extra day this week so she could have her picture taken.”

     

    Bette:  “When Tina?  Don’t you think I’d remember something like that?”

     

    Tina:  “I…”

     

    Bette interrupted

     

    Bette:  “Also!  Don’t you think I would want to be present for something like that?”

     

    Tina:  “I’m sorry you forgot Bette but…”

     

    Bette:  “But nothing Tina.  You didn’t tell me.  If you need to infringe upon my time with my child, please be more responsible in the future and tell me.”

     

    CLICK.  Tina hung up the phone looked at Henry and they both started laughing.

     

    Bette sped down the highway back towards her house.  She wasn’t really pissed at Tina.  In fact she was grateful that she had Angie so she could focus on what was on her mind.  She found Harmony still wasn’t at home.  She tried to call her again.  No answer.

     

    Bette:  You have to be kidding me!!

     

    She went into the house and sat for a while.  When that drove her crazy enough she paced.  When that wore thin she cleaned.  When the house was spotless the phone rang.  She practically ran to pick up it.  It wasn’t Harmony.

     

    6:00 pm

     

    Jackie:  “Hello Bette.  Is Harmony there?”

     

    Bette:  “She’s not here.  Isn’t she there?”

     

    Jackie:  “No.”

     

    Bette:  “What about Roxanne?  Is she there by any chance?”

     

    Jackie:  “Yes she is.  Why?”

     

    Bette:  “No reason.  Can I take a message for Harmony?”

    18. Okay that was so sweet so i forgive your for leaving me hanging w/ the last chapter. I was really worried at first and was ready to kill Harmony myself but not I think she is just super romantic. Great post! And i won’t accept this being the end so i expect more chapters real soon….
