Angelica & The Artist – Chapter 5
The morning of her final day in Rome found Angelica in a very reflective mood, and sorry to be leaving. The past few days spent with Lyndsay had provided the best memories of this trip for her. She began the task of packing for her trip home, but could not help but feel sad at the prospect of not having more time with her new friend.
Taking out a business card from her wallet, she proceeded to write all of her additional contact information on the back. She would ensure that she gave this to Lyndsay later today.
With the packing finished, she wanted to spend all of her remaining time with the young brown haired woman. She contacted her favorite restaurant in the city and made arrangements for what she hoped would be a special evening. Once that was all taken care of, she made her way over to the other woman’s hotel to meet her.
As she knocked on Lyndsay’s door and waited for the door to open, she felt an overwhelming sadness over take her. When the door opened, she tried to put on a brave face, but failed miserably.
Lyndsay could see the sadness reflected in Angelica’s eyes. Concerned, she softly asked what was wrong.
Angelica responded that, she was simply sad to be leaving Rome the next morning, and that she was very much looking forward to spending the day with her. She entered the hotel room, and proceeded to take out the business card she had written on earlier that morning. Handing it to Lyndsay, she stated “So I don’t forget to give you this later, here is my business card. I wrote all my contact information on the back for you.”
Lyndsay took the card and placed it in her wallet. The two then left the hotel together.
They spent the day in Vatican City, and as evening neared, Angelica asked Lyndsay to join her for dinner. As they arrived at the restaurant Angelica had made the arrangements with, they were taken to a door near the back that led to a private outdoor patio area. Walking through the door, Lyndsay was stunned at the sight before her. A simple table for two was set in the middle of the patio, and soft music played in the background. She turned to Angie and asked how she had arranged for all of this. Angie simply flashed her Porter smile and said “I take it you approve?”

I love this story…don’t keep us waiting for too long.
Love this story and this chapter, WOW!!Angelica is every bit Mama B’s daughter when it comes to romancing a woman. Her gentleness comes from both mom’s. She really knows how to work it. Can hardly wait for the next chapter. PPS
Oh more please. Looking forward to another chapter.
She is her mothers daughter, Gentle and sweet like Tina a forward and romanced like Bette thanks
Somehow, we smell DRAMA coming along. It was beautiful how you described both having uncertain thoughts about the impact they have for each other. However, when we start enjoying a story, you leave a cliffie or decide to end the story. Mmm Guess you are the writer and therefore, we better enjoy this, while it lasts. PPS Lucero & Marsha (From Mexico City)
Holy Cow!!!! YES YES YES! Go Angie, put those lips on the woman you want girl. I’m with Dainty, SOOOOOO Bette’s daughter LMAO! You truly brought the gentle yet fiery feelings that can develop between two people trying to hold back and pause the intense feelings that have developed. Gosh, I just hope Lyndsay let’s Angie buy the painting! LOL! You are an AWESOME writer my friend. Bring on the wine! {{ hugs }}
I got a little behind in my reading, but this is sensational. Bette has taught Angelica well…she just a chip off the old block. Can’t wait until your next post and it may even be today since I am so late!
Hey Taz, Great chapter!! I love that Angie is asking her to come with her to her room. I know that to leave this woman behind would be hard for her. I can’t wait for the next chapter!!
