Angelica & The Artist – Chapter 25
“Lyndsay, you know you have to tell them right?”
“Yeah……I know. I just hope they understand.”
As the week progressed, Lyndsay found herself putting in long days at work due to the success of her trip to New York. In all the chaos of everything else that had gone on, she had originally been there for work, and the projects for Jack Martin and Helena Peabody would keep her very busy over the next few months.
Bette and Tina had stayed in New York for a few more days, and by the time they left, Angie and Bette were once again on speaking terms. Momma B had promised not to meddle, and Angie forgave her for what happened.
At Lyndsay’s encouragement, Angie had gone for lunch with Bette alone one day and the two worked out the issues between them surrounding what had happened. Bette indicated to Angie that yes, she was wrong for displaying the painting, and Angie gave in and forgave her.
Tina was thankful for the peace that had been restored in her family as she of all people knew how stubborn each of the two Porter’s in her life could be. Angelica may not have come from Bette’s genes, but boy did she have her stubborn streak. Tina hoped that Lyndsay was prepared for what was in store, knowing that her daughter could be so much like Bette.
On the flight home to Los Angeles, Tina and Bette had discussed Angie’s new girlfriend and how she seemed to have such a positive affect on her.
Tina was sitting reading a script when Bette had queried her “T,”
“Hmmm”
“Do you think she’s the one?”
Tina looked over at her wife and smiled. “Yeah, I think she might be”
Bette smiled in return. “It’s about time.”
Not following completely, Tina put down the script and turned to Bette. “What do you mean?
Knowing she had to carefully choose her words, Bette took a deep breath and let out a big sigh. “I worry about her.”
“Angie is fine.”
T……I know, it’s just I remember what it was like when I started my gallery. The long hours, the travels. I had so little time for myself. I was determined to make it as successful as possible and I poured all of my energy into the gallery. I just hope that Angie doesn’t do the same thing.”

Where’s Rob? Where’s Rob?! Who the f*ck cares! Tell her about Angie! ….soon!
Well look at who decided to top me. ;-) LOL!!! Thanks for your email. I promise to respond back sooner than later. You are a very wise woman you know that? Anywayyyyy….so how funny was Carolyn wanting to know all the details eh? Hee Hee. I loved it! I had this smirk on my face the whole time. Course I kind of wished Angie was going to provide a little more detail, but it was so tender what she offered anyway. I love that you are giving Lyndsay the courage to make a long distance relationship work. It’s harder than hell, I know this first hand, but I also know that it is SO worth it in the end. I hope she doesn’t end up getting scared and not telling her parents. It’s one of the hardest things in the world, but when you love someone and want to be with them, you want nothing more for your family to embrace the idea. Even if they don’t, at least you have been able to be true to your own self and the other person that share’s your relationship and maybe possibly your life. This is one hell of a story Tazzie. I’m thrilled you are writing it, and you take your time. I know all too well the feeling of having the plate full. {{{hugs}} Talk to you soon hun.
What Rob? Indeed, who is Rob? Truth time Lyndsay, no time like the present. Loving your story telling. Just take your time even tho’ I do look for it; its worth the wait.
Great job of writing this story. Thoroughly enjoyable. PPS or when you can.
Taz, we’ll wait for when you have time. I can just hear this convo in my house. “Mom: wheres boyfriend, Daughter: hey, wheres dad, how bout those panthere, oh, hey dad, did you get me that item I asked for? Dad; ya you want me to come over and install it or will boyfriend do it? Daughter; Oh, by the way, bf is now gf, can you pass the suger. I often wonder if they sweat this stuff or are they really that smooth. Thank you Taz, Md
Wow a new chapter to wake up to. Thanks Tazzie. I too know first hand how hard it is to tell your family. I had fun when I told my mum she wouldn’t speak to me but my dad ws great. Now my wife and mum get on well. It is so worth it in the end as you get to be yourself and get to be with the person you love. Like Chicki I am thrilled you have posted another chapter. Keep it up.
Forget about Rob. Lyndsay is just going to have to bite the bullet and tell them. Carolyn, typical straight friend,or is she? Too funny
Hey, Tazzie! *waving* We loved this update. Hmmm How tender Lindsay if while remembering all the delicate details she went through with Angie. Awww, Linds is sooo sweet. As for B and Angie coming to terms, that is absolutely charming. The most important fact is that B finally respects her daughter’s point of view. Tina’s resolution to advice Linds about the difficulties she may face, while being in a relationship with a Porter girl, certainly is endearing. Thanks, Tazzie. You are unfolding this story in such a beautiful way, that we really are enjoying every bit of it. PPS Lucero & Marsha (JC’s Salsa Aunties)
