    Angelica & The Artist 2 – Chapter 7

Lyndsay smiled. “I think I like that idea better. I want to include all of you in this, but I haven’t even asked Angie so I have no idea what she wants or thinks we should do. Also what if she does say no?”

Carolyn shook her head, “now that is not going to happen. Trust me, if you don’t ask her, it won’t be long before she asks you.

They all agreed, and sat down to discuss just how Lyndsay was planning to pull this off. As the discussion ensued, Lyndsay relaxed a little. That wasn’t as hard as she thought it would be.

    Rome……..

“Your Mom and Carolyn really wanted to start planning the wedding right then?”

“Well, things get a little crazy in North Carolina in the summer, so if we were to get married say in June, then we will need to start planning right away.”

“Do you want to wait that long?” asked Angie.

Lyndsay was confused. That long? Did Angie just say that long? The confused look on her face didn’t go un-noticed by Angelica.

“Lynds, do you really want to wait until June?”

“I don’t know. To tell you the truth I was so focused on asking you that I have not really given it much thought. It was my Mom who suggested June.”

“I don’t know if I want to wait that long, and more importantly, I’m not sure that I want some huge production.”

“What do you mean huge production? What do you see when you think about that day?”

Angie took a deep breath. How could she explain this, without upsetting Lyndsay. “Is that what you want? A large gathering?”

“I don’t know Ang, but I get the feeling that you don’t.”

“No I don’t. I never have. I also have never thought about where to have the ceremony. I always thought that one day I would make a lifelong commitment to someone, but I always envisioned it as being a small more intimate affair.”

“What about your Mom’s? What do you think they will want? Will they want it in Los Angeles?”

Angelica knew what they would say. Or rather what Bette would say. She would think the idea of a huge party was a good idea. Most likely in Los Angeles. It was then that she realized that she had not called to tell them the exciting news yet.

“I don’t know, probably, but I just realized that I haven’t even called them yet to tell them.” She laughed.

“Well what are you waiting for? Call them right now. If I know Bette, she is probably pacing back and forth right now wondering why you haven’t called yet”

Angie laughed and agreed whole heartedly. That in fact was exactly how she pictured her Mama B. She pulled out her phone and made the call.
