    Angel Fire
    Bette in LA
    chapter 13
    part 3 of Bette’s story

That same night – Bette and Tina at home

While Bette was telling Tina some of her early experiences with sex, Angelica and Stacy gathered up their belongings at the beach.

“Angel,” said Stacy as they were driving home.

    “Uh, huh.”

“Are you scared about being together?”

“No. Well, a little,” Angie admitted.

“Are you scared of being a lesbian?”

“Not really. My moms accept me, but I know that many people won’t. And it will be harder for us because we’re both girls. But we’ll be ok.”

    “You seem so sure.”

“Well, maybe not. Mom, Tina, was kind of upset that I was gay,” Angelica admitted reluctantly. “She was concerned because it’s more difficult in society to be gay than to be hetero.”

“So I know how my moms handle their life. And, well, they have always taught me to be myself.”

    “But Tina is worried?”

“She doesn’t want me to have a lesbian lifestyle just because they do. But I’ve known for some time that I like girls, not boys. And now,” Angie smiled, “I like only one girl.”

    “I’m not as brave.”

    “Why, baby?”

“My parents don’t really like it,” Stacy said sadly. “They haven’t said much, but they’re sad and worried.”

    “But they still love you.”

    “Yes.”

“That’s a good beginning for their acceptance.”

    “Uhmm.”

“Stacy, what else?” Angel had learned this questioning device from her moms. When she was unburdening herself on some topic, they often asked this – ‘What else?’ That often encouraged her to discuss more problems.

“Well, sometimes people look at me funny, especially now that they are finding out.”

“Do you think we should try to do something about that?”

Stacy was pleased that Angel had said “we” instead of “you.”

“I don’t know. Let’s think about it. We’ll figure out something,” Angie said and Stacy relaxed.

Angie pulled into Stacy’s driveway, turned off the lights and cut off the engine. She pulled her girlfriend into her arms. They began to kiss and kiss as they usually did before Stacy went into her house. So many nights ended like this with a frustrated parting.

    “I love you, Jelly.”

    “I love you, Tace.”

When Angie arrived home, she noticed that the light in her moms’ room was still on. She heard them talking and tapped lightly on the door. They invited her in quickly, always relieved when they knew their child was safe at home.

    1. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, that Red functions as an angel in their lives. Or Deus Ex Machina if you prefer. Talk about a friend in need. VERY interested to see the next chapter.

    2. Pancha, everytime I read a chapter you leave me wanting more and more and MORE! I instantly got dirty thoughts when she said “I want to show you my garden” lol Anyhoots I can’t wait to here about this expereince. I think older woman and thier younger lovers, be it man or woman are always a hot combination…I love to see that. Gosh I really hope Angie and stacy get it on, I’m blue for them! lol

    3. “I’d like to show you my garden,” Yvonne said after they had talked for a few moments. “It always makes me so calm and happy to be in it.” …I may need to snip a bloom or two, let me go get my shears. This has the feel of a saga, Pancha. I love a good saga, a ballad even, the ballad of Bette and Red, or Bette and whomever is the lucky soul to introduce her to the ways of l’amour. This is a western, isn’t it? Love it! Thanks!

    4. As soon as I saw Red I was like, “OMG it was RED!” and then I debated on whether or not to read the rest of the chapter or skim to the end. Not saying anything is wrong with Red, but considering she’s always been like an older aunt or mother figure it would’ve come off completely wrong to me. Jelly and Tace are way too cute.

    5. Great as always, pancha. A courtesan sounds like a very civilized way to get one’s experience in lovemaking. Very gentile instead of gropin’ and grabbin’.

    6. This is one of the best story. Aolder woman, that the way to go if you need to know the what and the where fors. This is how Bette was taugh the gentleness of love making and how to treat a lady like a queen thanks

    7. Red to the rescue. I can picture Bette as a very insecure young woman. When Bette stepped out of those offices she was the woman that we all love (and would love to be with). Sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next chapter.
