    Bette completes touring Tina around the gallery…what’s next?

     

    “Perhaps another time…”

     

    “Definitely lunch another time.”  Bette smiled. 

     

    Tina was disappointed but tried to be optimistic that lunch would come in the not so far future.

     

    “I’m sorry lunch did not go as planned…”  Bette said with sadness.

     

    “Me too.”

     

    “However, I would love it if you granted me the bliss of your company… and come out with me tonight instead?”

     

    Tina’s heart began to flutter once again and she swallowed hard at Bette’s choice of words.  ‘Come out…oh Bette, you have no idea!’

     

    Nonetheless, Tina could not contain the shy smile on her face.  “I’d really like that Bette.  What are you thinking?”

     

    “I’d like to surprise you.”

     

    “What if I’m not dressed appropriately?”

     

    Bette chuckled while responding, “Oh, it’s a nude beach so I’m sure you’ll be fine.”

     

    Tina swatted Bette playfully.  “Hey, I told you I’m not easy!”

     

    “Oh I believe you, Mother Teresa and promise I’ll be on my best behavior.”

     

    “Uh huh.”  Tina rolled her eyes.

     

    “Dress casual and comfortable.  I just want us to relax and have a good time.”

     

    “Okay, I think I can handle that.”

     

    ‘Can she handle me?’  A mischievous grin appeared on Bette’s face.

     

    “What’s that smile for?”

     

    “I’m just happy that I’ll be seeing you later.  Pick you up at six thirty?”

     

    “Perfect.”

     

    Bette couldn’t help teasing the blonde and leaned in closer.  “Yes, Tina, you are.”

     

    Tina felt the warmth in her cheek begin to rise.  “Will you be throwing down such lines tonight, smooth operator?”

     

    Bette chuckled lightly.  “Most likely, you bring it out of me.”

     

    Tina smiled.  “Okay flirty.  Half past six…don’t be late.”

     

    “I’ll be as punctual as a Swiss watch.”

     

    They exchanged cell numbers and Tina gave Bette her address.

     

    Before Tina made her way out of the gallery doors, she glanced back to find Bette smiling at her.  Tina gave her a shy smile and little wave goodbye.

     

    Bette felt triumphant with the progress she had made.  A week ago, Bette didn’t even have the blonde’s name or number as she took off with Bette’s Burberry jacket. 

     

    Today was a new day…a new start with Tina Kennard.  The only fear that Bette had was instead of leaving with a jacket, she admitted Tina had her heart instead.
