“My pleasure,” Bette answered. “I’d like to escort you to your door, if that’s okay.”
Tina let out a soft chuckle. “You don’t think I’ll make it…you know, the twenty paces?”
Bette looked at Tina’s front door and then back to Tina. “Seems pretty risky, Tee. It’s more like twenty-two paces.” Bette teased. “You were drinking rather heavily after all…”
“I was not!”
Bette continued to tease her. “And there has been talk of dangerous wild life roaming these areas…”
“What? The bunnies? We’ve never had an incident around here!”
“Mostly I just want to make sure you get inside safely.” Bette answered seriously, looking directly into Tina’s hazel eyes.
Tina’s heart fluttered. She let out an exaggerated sigh, “Okay, for safety’s sake then.”
They now stood together at Tina’s front door.
“Thank you again for a wonderful time, Bette.”
“Thank you for giving me the happiest of evenings, Tee.”
Tina responded by wrapping her arms around Bette and holding her in a tight embrace.
Bette inhaled Tina’s sweet scent and did not want to let go. What she wanted was to pull her even closer to her body into a passionate embrace and whisper a hundred of her deepest thoughts into her ear between ravishing kisses. ‘At her pace!’ Bette reminded herself. “I’ll call you tomorrow, okay?”
“I hope so.” Tina hated to end their date. She also feared that ‘call you tomorrow’ line…and realized how devastated she would be if Bette did not.
“I promise I will. Get some sleep, Tee.”
“Get home safely, okay?” Tina gave Bette a quick kiss on the lips and released Bette from their embrace.
“I will. Night, Tee.” Bette made her way back to her car.
Tina waited until Bette was in her car and waved back. “Goodnight, Bette.”
Tina entered her home and shut the door behind her. She took a few deep breaths before letting out an ecstatic scream that she had been holding inside all evening. She practically skipped her way into the bathroom to get ready for bed.
With minimal traffic, Bette made it to her house in record time without a speeding ticket. She quickly got ready for sleep and raced to her bed. Once settled under the covers, she looked at her bedside clock which showed 12:23 AM. Bette smiled as she reached for the phone.

Luv, I have to tell you something,um… reading this story makes me wanna fall in love *blushes* :) I am so glad I have finally caught up with the story. Loved everything about this chappie, the witty banter, the flirting it was great and I was sad that the date had to come to an end :( I am looking forward to many more Tibette dates like this one! I just caught up and was extremely excited. Their date was incredible and lovely. If there had been and iceberg out in the ocean, the heat radiating from them would have melted it in seconds.

oh Luv – another awesome update but then I wouldn’t have excepted anything else being my roomie and all that :) Love this story so very much. I really like the humour, the teasing, the sweetness adn the slow romance. Great update and thank you. You are so right with what the show gave us thank god for fanfic. On another note -steak and cake (Chocolate my favourite)and homemade in that – I could definitely get used to this – I might not move out :)Oh and by the way – this isn’t a buttering up :D
