“Force me? All I ever needed was her to say ‘come back’ I would have been here in a heartbeat”
Kit was silent for a while, this wasn’t a conversation she wanted to have with Bette here or tonight, but she had to say something.
“Why didn’t you come back and try to make things right Bette?” Kit asked
“She waited, Bette. Tina, won’t ever admit to it but I knew part of her wished you would have flown back and begged her to take you back, she would have dropped everything for you”
“I know kit that’s why I didn’t”
“Why Kit? Why would she do this after the way I treated her?” Bette asked
“Look Bette, I don’t think she did it so much for you as she did it for herself like Tina said, her best memories of this place, were the times she spent here with you she told me her 2 greatest passions came from this place, you and art she can’t think of one without thinking of the other, to her Bette, I think this place for her was the closure she needed”
“Closure, to what?” Bette asked
Kit shrugged he shoulders “That’s something you’re going to have to talk to Tina about?”
Bette was silent for a while, as memories of this place flooded her mind, Kit knew Bette was thinking about all the good times she had with Tina, her baby sis had a silly grin on her face it made her look 14 again.
“Ok, Kit I gotta go I have allot to do” Bette quickly went over to Kit and gave her a huge hug and a great big kiss
Bette seemed excited; she was no longer in the somber mood.
“Bette I know that look, what are you up too?”
Bette smiled “I’m going to get my T, back”
“You’re what? Bette Porter what are you talking about?”
“Tina, Kit I need Tina to be my friend again” Bette said as she walked away
“Oh and Kit can you please not tell her I’m back, I’d like to tell her myself” Bette said as she walked out the center.
Kit smiled ‘Now that’s what I’m talking about, you go girl, it’s about time’ Kit spoke to herself.
Bette walked to the parking lot and got into her rented Lexus, ‘ugh, I hate this car, it has absolutely no personality, I should add buy new SAAB onto my list’
Bette was too wired to sleep, so she decided to drive around L.A and reacquaint herself with the area, she drove around for an hour before the Jet lag finally set in she drove to the hotel that was her temporary home until she found somewhere to live she could have stayed at home but decided against it since her schedule was a bit hectic she didn’t want Melvin to go out of his way to try accommodate her. She washed her face stripped off her clothes got in bed and for the first time in months she fell asleep with a smile on her face and dreams of Tina.

It is about time Bette. 3 years???? God I hope Tina is not in any serious relationship. It is killing me to see them like that. PPVS

Sometimes it takes a person a long time to find their way home to the people that they love. Bette told Kit that she was going to make Tina her friend again. Is that all Bette wants friendship? Is Tina in a relationship? Hope Not thanks
Aaahhhh….feeling a little better. I’m hoping Bette is a little more ambitious than just friendship…

wow 3 years huh? I have a feeling that Bette will have to jump through a couple of hoops to get her woman back. even if Tina has another woman, she is no match for our Bette. still loving it. pps

Yep, Bette is back and ready to win her woman back. Bette has a lot of work to do to get Tina to even look her way.

Thank you for the post. So, three years, Tina broke up with Bette the worst possible heartless way, in an uber cold e-mail, asked Bette never to contact her again. Bette did just that. Which means that Bette is in the wrong and have some major groveling to do??? Sorry, just cannot get my head around this.
