There was a pause
“Mummy uses functions like this to parade me around meeting the who’s who, of potential business connections” Helena chuckled
Tina, felt sorry for Helena.
“But, I guess it’s my family obligation, my family legacy don’t get me wrong I’ve never been deprived of anything I get to travel visit exotic places, have the best accommodations. all in all it’s not too bad being me” Helena chuckled
“Maybe on my next visit to California we can get together for coffee” Helena asked
“That would be nice” Tina said politely
Just them Peggy walked back to where Tina and Helena were standing.
“Helena, dear come on now I want you to meet some of the board members”
“Yes, mummy”
“Tina it was a pleasure, I hope our paths will cross again someday”
“I’m sure they will Helena”
Tina was relieved; to be left alone again she liked Helena, but felt a bit uncomfortable with her she couldn’t quite figure out why.
Tina walked around admiring some of the art work, looking at the beautiful painting was relaxing her she came across an abstract painting looking intensely at it she tried to put herself in the painters shoes, trying to picture what the artist what thinking the mindset of the artist as their brush strokes hit the canvas. Two older men walked up behind Tina and began their conversation.
“So have you talked to Bette Porter yet?” one of the gentlemen asked the other
“I haven’t ran into her tonight”
“Well she is stunning isn’t she and very talented she has a great eye”
“Yes, to both, too bad she bats for the other team if you know what I mean”
“Yes, I heard her girlfriend is here with her I hear she’s very beautiful herself”
This made Tina smile, feeling like she shouldn’t be listening in on the conversation but not being able to walk away.
“I hear her girlfriend is quiet young still in school as a matter of fact, she attends school in California”
“Really? Well I wonder what kind of relationship one can have when they live on opposite ends of the country, well maybe it’s for the best what can they possibly have in common”

Fantastic update. One favor please, Please do not let Helena get her hooks into Tina. Hopefully Tina told Bette what Helena had said to her. Helena is that vampire that our girl Bette referred to in S2 and to me in that conversation with Tina she was salavating like a hungry wolf targeting his prey. Please don’t let her get to Tina. I can already see the problems coming up with Bette having the job in LA, indeed if she even gets it because I think that damned Helena will do everything she can to keep her from getting the job. And Hell will have started for them with Helena being its chief engineer. Awesome update. Keep writing and we’ll keep reading. Thanks for posting.

The conversations were fluid and the introduction of the new characters were very well made. We are getting each time more hooked with this story. Thanks for your generous post.
