“OMG – it can’t be”, Bette said out loud.
“Baby – is that the alarm?”
“Yeah – it’s 6 O’clock already – I can’t belive how time flies by when we talk”
“Bette, you didn’t get any sleep”, Tina said concerned.
“No……but you made me relax and feel better”, Bette said while Tina was blushing and smiling.
Bette and Tina ended their phonecall – both with a smile on their face. Bette went to get a shower, where as Tina had to get back to work, she had received tons of email while she was on the phone with Bette.
Bette got dressed for work, had some cereal and went out the door. Tina on the other hand had to respond to email, but also plenty of calls comming in but her mind kept drifting back to Bette and it made her smile.
Bette had to take a cap to work since her car was still there, wich gave her time to think about her life and situation with Tina. Bette was daydreaming when her cell rang.
“Bette Porter”
“Morning Bette…………………..are you alive and up yet”, Lara asked sleepy
“Yes Lara…………………I’m on my way into work right now”, Bete said while the cap parked outside the station.
“Ohh………………I’m still in bed – my head is spinning this morning”, Lara spoke
“Guess you never learn girl”, Bette said smiling
“Hey………………………….well I didn’t go home at 4 like you did Bette…………………and I met someone as well”, Lara said smiling
“Ohh really………………..guess you won’t be in until noon”, Bette laughed
“Give me a break Porter………………I’ll see you later”
“What ever Lara – be carefull and take care. Talk to you later”, Bette said before hanging up.
Bette stepped inside the station, walking towards her desk. On her desk there was a package with a card on saying “Bette Porter”
“Sam, who brought this?”, Bette asked her colleague at the front desk.
“I don’t know – I have been here several hours and this is the first I see of it”, Sam spoke
Bette took out some gloves from her desk. She put them on, started to unrap the package. As she unrapped the package her boss came to work.

I remember this story. Tina is out of the country with her daughter, while Bette continues to work in law enforcement. Bette at one time was watching over Tina and they fell in love then. Now they are separated due to work. Hope to see more of this story soon.
I just finished reading this wonderful story, and really hope you get to add some chapters to it soon.

Wow, this is really something. I may have to go back and read earlier chapters to get up to speed but it looks like a great ride. PPS
It’s GREAT to see you back with an update on this story. Bette needs to go to Italy to visit Tina. She needs the break and they need to reconnect. She can’t risk Tina coming back until this serial killer is captured and her being away may through him or her off their game enough to trip up. PPS :o).
