    Bette and Alice with Remy and his family.

     

    Remy: “I always said my bebe was talented.  Gets it from my side of the family.” Remy said as he puffed out his chest.

     

    Anna: “You think every good quality in her comes from you.”

     

    Remy: “That’s because they do.” Remy said in usual arrogant manor.

     

    Bette: “There is no doubt in my mind that these will sell better than the last bunch. I suggest you spend as much time as possible taking photos, because these are going to send you over the top.” Bette then rose to hug Marie.

     

    Remy: “You’d better stop filling her head before she begins to froufrou.” Remy said in jest.

     

    Marie pulled back from Bette and responded to her father. “Ah, papa, I could never put on frills. I already know that I am wonderful.”

     

    Anna: “Yes you are, ma petite. Yes you are.” Anna said she and Remy pulled Marie into another hug.

     

    Alice: “All the while I stand back being chopped liver.”

    Bette returned to her gallery and worked consistently for several hours. She finally finished her workday around 6:30 p.m. and headed home. She was looking forward to getting there and calling Tina. She thought that going to sleep with the sound of her voice in her mind would be nice. She was surprised to find a familiar car parked in front of her house when she arrived.  As she pulled into her driveway, she saw that her unexpected guest was sitting on her front porch.

     

    Bette: “I must have done something very good in some former life to be in your company twice in one day.”

     

    Tina: “Well, I don’t know about that, but I really needed to talk to you.”

     

    Bette: “Ok, I’m here.” Bette said as she sat next to Tina on her porch.

     

    Tina: “You were right.”

     

    Bette: “About what?”

     

    Tina: “About Mac. You were right. He told me he loved me.”

     

    Bette: “Oh, wellwhat did you tell him?”

     

    Tina: “I told him that we were friends and that was all that we would ever be. Suffice it to say, that didn’t go over very well.” Tina said as she glanced sadly at Bette.

    2. I agree with SHAZ, I love this story and the way that it is going. I know that Mac maybe a pain in the butt for awhile, but he will eventually have to yeal to the fact that he can not compete with the BETE PORTER. I love Remy and his family. Please post aging very soon.

    8. Love the playfulness between all of the characters. Bette giving as good as she gets from everyone’s teasing. Remy and family are such a delight. The famous Porter meal…hee hee hee.
