    B&T 9 years after season 1: Bette and Tina have a lot on their minds.

     

    Tina: "What did you do Eli?" Even though Tina was pretty sure what Eli was going to say next she wasn’t sure she was ready to hear it.

     

    Eli: "I was supposed to be hanging out with Sara today, but instead I went to Bette Porters house. I thought that if I talked to her I could get her to come talk to you…that maybe you could make each other happy again, but I wanted to meet her for myself…to see the person that makes my mom look so happy when she’s talking about how much in love they were…how happy. Mom I’m sorry for not talking to you about this first. We made a deal to always talk things through first but I…I was afraid that…"

     

    At this point both Tina and Eli were crying. As were Sandy and Bryce the other two were able to hold it together and were looking for the tissues.

    Tina: "Baby you don’t have to explain. Although I would have liked it if you came to me first. I understand why you felt that you needed to do what you did. And I love you so much that you would do this…go to Bette on my behalf I am so lucky to have someone who loves me so much. I know I’ve put off seeing her for too long, and it’s about time that I come back and straighten things out. But Eli I don’t want you to worry about my love life, I’m supposed to be the adult here I’ll handle it from here on out. Okay."

     

    Eli: "But mom I was kind of hoping that I could spend more time with Bette, you know to get to know her better. I spent a couple of hours with her today, and I told her that I would maybe see her again, with your permission I’d like to see if she’d like to maybe hang out and get to know each other better."

     

    Tina: "You want to get to know Bette better?" Tina was a little surprised at this request but she also felt a bit happy at the same time.

     

    Eli: "Well yeah she was really nice to me today and I’m just a little curious about her. You’ve told me so much about her and your other family, and I was kind of hoping that if it’s o.k. with you, that I’d get to know them better."

     

    Tina: "Eli I’m not going to lie to you, I really want to go down there to be with you when you meet everyone but I understand that you want to get to experience who they are for yourself. So here’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to talk to the Stevensons tomorrow and tell them that you’re going to be spending time with Bette, but first I’m going to talk to Bette and clear everything up. I’m not going to stop you two from getting to know each other, but I want to hear what Bette is feeling about this little arrangement that you’ve concocted. That’s one of my conditions the other is that you continue to call me and keep me informed if you can’t promise to do this then I’m flying down tonight and we can do this together. So what do you say do we have a deal?"

     

    Eli: "Deal but I kind of told Bette that I’d call her tonight to let her know what happened."

     

    Tina: "You did, well I’ll call Bette and fill her in. I think it’s about time we talked. Okay now get some sleep and don’t worry about anything. I’ll have Bette call you first thing tomorrow morning. And remember that I love you and miss you."

     

    Eli: "I love you too mom, and thank you for understanding, bye."

     

    Tina: "Bye baby."

    1. I took a chance and checked one last time before leaving work, and yeah you had posted. Cannot believe you have just left me hanging again. I’m so excited, and can’t wait till that first hello. It gives me goose bumps thinking about it, wait till the gang meets Eli. Hopefully you’ll have posted again when I come in to work.

    4. SWEET……now the next chapter is gonna be filled with lots of anxiety, so maybe in the chapter after that we’ll get some where…..i hope. POST SOON!!!!

    12. I very much appreciate you taking the time to post this chapter. But you have to tell your instructor that you can not do the project because you have this other project to do first. I am really loving this story and now I will have a heart attack because the wait will seem like forever. My heart is pounding just waiting to see how Bette is going to react to Tina’s voice. I know that you can not post too soon but really try please.

    13. You can’t finish the project on time, that you have hundreds of fans waiting to see what happens in this story. Give Him the story and you will be forgiven for being late. I love this child so honest,and smart and loves his mom so much. The sad part is he will love Bette just as much.and she him. Hope that Tina will let Eli spend a lot of time with Bette. thanks
