A helping hand a push in the right direction—Ch. 37

A helping hand a push in the right direction—Ch. 37

Tina was waiting patiently for Bette to turn around and tell her what happened in the twenty minutes they were apart. She was sure that her partner’s foul mood was due to Bette’s encounter with Ava, but she didn’t understand why Bette would have it out with her especially tonight. The only other possibility Tina could think of was that Ava approached Bette, if that happened she could see why Bette might be somewhat upset with her. She just wished that Bette would turn around and tell her what happened so they could work through whatever it was. She really didn’t want to fight with Bette.

Tina noticed that Bette was trying to calm down before turning towards her what she really wanted to do was walk up to her and pull the beautiful brunette into her arms but she knew that when Bette was this upset she really needed some time to process first, but if her partner was hurting she wanted to be there for her.

Tina slipped the heels off her feet and began to walk over to the woman she loved.

As Bette was walking across the gallery floor she was kicking herself for letting Ava push her buttons. But some of the things Ava said about her relationship with Tina had really thrown her. They never really got into an in-depth conversation about their relationships in their time apart, however, she could distinctly recall Tina telling her that she had been very careful not to expose Eli to her dates. Now she’s hearing from Ava that she actually lived with the two of them for some time.

She knew she was letting her emotions get the best of her, when she walked ahead of Tina not waiting for her partner to walk alongside her. She even cringed a little when she didn’t look at Tina when she walked by her to get into the office. Bette walked over to get a drink, she wasn’t much of a bourbon drinker but right now she really needed something to take the edge off. She felt like killing Ava and she wasn’t too happy to learn that the woman that she now hated had lived with her family. She knew she had to address her one-night stand and tell Tina the truth holding off any longer was only going to make things more tense between her and Tina. She just needed a few seconds to calm down she really didn’t want to take out her anger towards Ava onto Tina…and then there was a small part of her that was scared and buying into Ava’s dribble about how Tina wanted to commit to her—to have a life and a family with Ava and not with her.

    1. Go get em “T”. Bette may be the alpha, but when it comes to Bette, women beware cos Tina will chew you up and spit you out. Glad to see they were both honest with each other.

    2. Oh god, Toribio, I so love this story!!! And you so deserved that award! By the way, shorter chapters more frequently totally works for me! Now about this… Thank you for taking this direction. To tell the truth I didn’t understand why B&T were ready to fight at the end of the last chapter. I understand the circumstnaces, but on that particular issue about Ava, B&T were always allies in my view… But in yours too given the direction you took… Great turn out and great transparency of feelings, I like that…. everything out in the open. Don’t get me wrong, I know that B&T might have fights in the future, I mean that’s what couples do, even with the greatest love of all, but as for this situation, I couldn’t see a fight… A serious talk yes, but not a fight. Oh, and do I love that ending! And can’t wait to see Tina’s reaction to Ava… the lionness in action! Go, Tina! Thanks Toribio, and talk soon…

    3. Ava has never been got like Tina is going to get her. She will walk out with her tail draging and a very whipped look on her face. Go get her TINA. thanks

    4. Toribio, This chapter was just Great. Tina is going to let have good I hope. I am glad they talked. I so love your story. shorter chapters more offten is fine with me. Thank you PPS

    5. Whoa, Tina is ready to put Ava in her place. I still believe that Ava did go looking for Bette to get a foot up. I think that Ava knew that Tina was still in love with Bette and was not totally ready to move on. Thank you for not making the drama to painful.

    6. I definately am in agreement with Tina giving Ava a piece of her mind…I hope it is after all the guests have left though…this is Bette’s night. Ava is gonna get ripped a new one.

    7. I love you story any way you decide to post it, just KEEP writing. I love the idea of Tina giving Ava a piece of her mind, but only after Ava has to stand back and watch Bette, Tina and Eli take a lot of publicity shoots and they rub it in her face by being all loveie, dovie and stilling kisses while the pictures are being taken of then with guest and their extended family. I bet Melvin is glad that someone is in the cross fire and even he would B&T against anyone trying to hurt them. Blood IS thicker than water. Please read your PM’S :o)
