“Will you take it out when it stops, I’m just gonna go change too.” Tina says and walks past Bette.

“Yeah, sure.” Bette replies and walks over to the micro and waits for the beep. She takes it out and places it on the kitchen table.

She takes a seat and Tina walks back in.

“Bette?” Tina says as she takes a seat.

“Yeah.” Bette replies as she grabs some food onto her plate.

“Is something wrong?” Tina asks.

“Why do you ask?” Bette asks and looks at Tina.

“I don’t know, you’ve been a little distant the last couple of weeks.” Tina says and put some food on her plate.
“I have?” Bette asks a little surprised.

“Yeah. Is it because of the baby talk?” Tina asks.

Bette looks down a few seconds and then back up at Tina. She put her fork down.

“Tina, I’m sorry if I have been a little distant. It’s just that every time Stephanie and the kids are over here I get this longing, like I want one of my own” Bette starts.

“But I” Tina starts but Bette stops her.

“T, please hear me out. I understand why you are not ready. Your body has been through a huge ordeal. And it takes time to heal. It’s just that I have found the one” She says and smiles lovingly at Tina. “And I want to start a family so badly with you. I’m sorry that I have been distant, that was never my intention. I’ve just been wrapped up in myself.” Bette says and smiles.

“I want you to know that, there is nothing more I want, than to have a baby with you. Except becoming your wife that is.” Tina says and takes Bette’s hand in hers and squeezes it softly. “But I don’t feel ready. I’m still not walking perfectly. I’m a little unsteady here and there, and my back is hurting sometimes. And to be carrying a baby and gain weight, I don’t think that is a good idea. I don’t want to have a relapse of some sort. I want to be completely healthy before I take on such a “burden”. Tina says.

“Baby, I understand completely. I’m sorry that I’ve been acting like this. And thanks for telling me.” Bette says and smiles.
“You’re welcome.” Tina replies, she leans over and kisses Bette softly on the lips.

“Well, we should eat before the food get cold once more.” Bette says.

“Yeah.” Tina replies and continues eating.

“So, how was your day?” Bette asks.

“It was fun, I forgot how fun photography could be.” Tina replies.

“That’s great.” Bette says and smiles.

“Yeah, it is. Jessie’s coming with me tomorrow for a few hours.” Tina says.

“Okay.” Bette replies.

They finish dinner and clean the table and then walk into the living room and take a seat on the couch.

“Hey, how about a walk, you want to?” Bette asks.

“Now?” Tina asks surprised.

“Yeah, get to know our neighborhood by foot.” Bette replies.

“Sure, I would love to.” Tina says and get up and walks into the bedroom to get her jacket. “Which jacket do you want?” She calls out to Bette.

“The black leather.” Bette replies.

Tina comes back with the jacket and gives it to Bette.

“Thank you.” Bette says. They get out and Bette locks the door.

Tina grabs Bette’s hand, they intervene their fingers. Tina looks lovingly into Bette’s eyes. She leans in for a kiss. They walk down the street in the evening sun.
