“Bette grab his clothes, we’ll dress him up with Noah.” Tina says and carries him out of the room. Bette follows close behind. Tina reaches for Bette’s hand while carrying Danny with the other. Bette takes it.

They walk into the room, Sarah is seated on the bed with Noah and plays with some lego’s.

“Hey, guys.” Sarah says. “How did it go?” She asks.

“It was painful.” Tina says and set Danny down on the bed next to Noah.

Danny lays down immediately. Tina softly strokes his hair. Bette takes a seat in one of the chairs. She’s tired and her back is hurting. She lets out a little sigh as she sit down. Tina notices this. She walks over to Bette and takes a seat next to her.

“Babe?” She says as she takes her hand.

“Yeah, I’m tired and my back hurts. I just need to relax a little.” Bette says and smiles at Tina.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Tina asks in a worried tone.

“I’m sure.” Bette replies.

“Why don’t you lay down on that bed for a little while?” Tina suggests.

“What about the boys?” Bette asks.

“Danny will probably sleep a little and Noah might join him.” Tina says and softly squeezes Bette’s hand.

“Okay, but if anything happens or the doctor comes back, wake me up, okay?” Bette says.

“I will. Now go and relax.” Tina says and stands up, helping Bette over to the bed. Bette lays down and Tina covers her and leans down and giving her a soft kiss on the lips. “I love you.” Tina whispers as she smiles.

“I love you too.” Bette whispers back and closes her eyes.

After about 5 minutes Bette was fast asleep.

“Tina, maybe I should go back to the house. Clean a little and do some grocery shopping.” Sarah suggests.

“Yeah, if you won’t mind, that would be great.” Tina says and smiles at her sister.

“Sure, I won’t mind, that’s why I asked.” Sarah says and gives Tina a smile too.

“Thank you.” Tina says.

“You’re welcome. If you need anything, give me a call.” Sarah says.

“I will.” Tina replies and give her sister a hug.

Sarah leaves.

Tina takes a seat on the bed where the boys are. Noah is still seated and is still playing with the toys. He looks from Danny who is almost asleep and to Tina.

“Mommy.” He says and crawls over to Tina and into her lap.

“Hey, sweetie. Don’t’ you want to play anymore?” She asks him.

“No, I’m tired.” He replies.

“Then, why don’t you lay down. I’ll be here when you wake up.” Tina says.

“Mama.” Noah says and points towards Bette.

“You want to go to mama?” Tina asks.

“Yes.” Noah says.

“Okay, hang on.” Tina says and gets out of the bed and over to Bette.

“Bette? Baby. Someone wants to join you.” Tina says as Bette opens her eyes.

“Yeah?” Bette replies with a smile.

“Not me. Noah’s asking for his mama.” Tina says.

“Okay, bring him over.” Bette says.

Tina lifts Noah from his bed over to Bette.

“Hey, there little guy, did you have fun with aunt Sarah today?” She asks.

“He nods and moves closer to Bette who holds him tight in her arms.

Tina walks back to the other bed, where now Danny is sleeping alone. She lifts him up and places him towards the top of the bed. She crawls in next to him and put her arms around him.

It’s in the middle of the day, but the Kennard Porter family were soon all asleep.
