Chapter 184
“What are you doing to get him through this?” Bette asks as she continues to hold a crying Tina in her arms.
“We are giving him antibiotics. It’s all we can give him at this moment.” Dr. Lawrence says.
“What about the transplant? Will that go as planned?” Bette asks.
“No, we have to put that to the side for the time being. Our main focus now is getting this infection out of him. And stabilize him. . He’s immune system is down.” Dr Lawrence says.
Tina wipes away the tears and stands up straight.
“Will he make it? And please be honest with me.” She says.
“I really don’t know. But as I said, he’s a fighter. He is fighting this.” Dr. Lawrence says.
During the rest of the night, Noah goes in and out of consciousness.
Bette and Tina stays by his side all night. When the morning comes, Noah is better. He’s responding to the antibiotics. Sarah had went to the house during the night to relieve Alice of her duties. She dials Tina’s number at
“Tina hi, how is he?” Sarah asks.
“He’s better. Stabile and responding to the drugs.” Tina says.
“That’s good. Look, shall I bring Danny? Are they still testing his bone marrow today?” Sarah asks.
“I don’t know… Oh good, the doctor just entered, I’ll ask him, hold on.” Tina says.
“Hey, ladies. How are you this morning?” Dr. Lawrence asks.
“Okay. Doctor, can I ask you something?” Tina asks.
“Sure, go ahead.” Dr. Lawrence says.
“You said that the transplant was held off for now, but are you still testing Danny out today? Should he come in?” Tina asks.
“Yes, that would be the best. We’ll get that out of the way. And be ready when Noah is ready for it.” Dr. Lawrence says.
“Yes, Sarah, bring him in. They are doing the tests.” Tina says.
“Okay, I’ll try to be there in an hour or so. I’m gonna wake him now. See you soon, bye.” Sarah says and they hang up.
Dr. Lawrence did his examination on Noah and was pleased to see that he’s responding to the antibiotics.
“He’s going to make it. He’s responding well to the antibiotics and is much better now than he was a few hours ago.” Dr. Lawrence says and smiles at Bette and Tina. Just then Noah wakes up.

Great update and a very hard day for the boys, hope it is all over for them very soon and everyone is well and happy. The last part where they all take naps was very touching and loving. Thanks for the post.

Hopefully, those dreams will be of happier times. Noah really does love his mamma. Danny was so strong and he loves his brother. I know that you said that it will be over soon, just allow of them all to be well. Can’t wait till the baby comes. How is Julia doing?
Danny is a brave little boy. I’m hoping Noah will be better soon and I hope B&T continue being such strong & loving parents.
when i read “it’s soon over” i am freak out but then i was relax! i don’t know if you can take away from hospital from long time cause Bette will be in delivery soon or i am wrong? but will be happy time in hospital. good chapter as always and the last part so sweet!
