Chapter 172
Two years has past since Dana’s accident. She survived, the condition wasn’t as severe as the doctors first thought. She’s still paralyzed and will be for the rest of her life, but the damage was located further down her spine, so she has full movement in her arms and upper torso. She’s also able to breathe on her own. Bette has helped Dana all she could, she paid the hospital bills. Dana had lot of money on her own, her family also helped. But Bette had insisted that she pay the hospital bill. She knew that Dana would need that money later. She had also helped with her new apartment, and had a lot of necessary equipments installed.
As for Bette and Tina. Life is good. The twins are now two years old, starting to talk and running around. So they have their hands full. But that hasn’t changed their minds about having another kid. Bette is 5 months pregnant. They’re having a girl. The donor they used on the twins, Tina’s friend, died of cancer one year ago. He got acute leukaemia. They searched in the Cryo bank’s donor archive. They found one that had a lot of the same facial features as Tina. It was also important that the donor would not stop the child from meeting him later as the kid grows older.
So it begins:
Two years later:
“Danny, Noah come out here, dinner time.” Tina calls out from the kitchen.
Seconds later she hears small fast footsteps down the hall. She smiles at the sight as the boys comes running into the kitchen. “Hey there.” Tina says and lifts them up and set them down in their chairs. “Are you guys hungry?” Tina asks.
“Yesss” They both yells out at the same time and clap their hands together.
Tina smiles and brings over their plates with their mashed potatoes. The boys loves mashed potatoes and every Friday Tina would make it for them.
They are able to eat with forks and spoons now, and doing it well too. It takes them ten minutes to finish dinner.
“Mommy, play.” Noah says and lift up his hands as a signal to be lifted out of the high chair so he could run of and play.
