    Chapter 164

     

    The evening came, Tina started to decorate the pizza, she had made the dough earlier. She threw on ham, olives, onions, bacon and cheese. She also put on a few pieces of pineapple in one corner for Bette. She always had to have pineapple on. She slide it into the oven. She made the ice tea, hen brought the glasses out to the living room, she took a seat next to Bette on the couch.

    “Jessie, could you go and get the boys ready for dinner?” Tina asks.

    “Yeah, sure.” Jessie says and get up and walk down the hallway, leaving Bette and Tina alone for a few minutes.

    “Babe? What are you going to say to your mother tomorrow?” Tina asks, rubbing Bette’s thigh softly.

    “I don’t really know yet. I guess I’ll figure it out when I get there.” Bette says.

    “I just don’t want you to do anything stupid. I know how angry you are with her.” Tina says.

    “I’ll fire her, that’s for sure. This time it’s no coming back. I Have to find someone to run the place.” Bette says. “It can’t be unmanaged even for a day.” Bette adds.

    “I could help. I took business in college.” Tina says.

    “You did?” Bette asks.

    “Yeah, I did. I wanted to start my own company, so I took business class my last year.” Tina replies. “I would love to help you out Bette. I guess it is a family business right?” Tina asks.

    “it absolutely is.” Bette replies.

    “Okay, and I’m family. I could help out, until you can find someone you trust and like.” Tina says and smiles at Bette. “But babe, promise me that you won’t do anything stupid tomorrow.” Tina says a little worried. She knew how angry Bette was with her mother.

    “I promise.” Bette replies.

    Just then the buzzer goes off in the kitchen.

    “Dinner is ready. Help with the plates?” Tina stands up and reach out her hand. Bette takes it and stands up too, they walk into the kitchen. Tina takes the pizza out of the oven and slide it onto the pizza tray.

    “Is dinner ready?” William shouts out as he comes running into the kitchen.

    “Yes, little man, go and sit down in the living room.” Bette says. Matt follows him and so does Jessie.

    3. Will Bette Mother know where Bette ‘s daughter was all these years? If her Mother would have helped would Bette have kept the baby? Babies trying to raise babies. Sad, Hope Bette goes easy on Maxine. Time will come when Bette and Tina will have time to be alone. Will is such a sweet child. thanks

    4. Hope Bette can have a talk with Maxine w/o bringing out her sharp claws. If Bette lets Maxine know that she dislikes what she did to her and that young man and subsequently to her with the adoption and tells her to keep her mitts off her life, maybe Maxine will leave well enough alone. Maybe Maxine has already learned her lesson, maybe not. I don’t remember how she feels about Tina and the babies. Thanks for the post. Post again soon please.

    6. Bette and William are so sweet, especially, her trying to answer his questions. Glad Bette & Tina are talking things through and supporting one another. “…Family business…” that should be fun for them for a while. Thanks for the update, hope classes are going well.

    10. I finally caught up with the story. Been busy and missed that last few chapters. I am really enjoying this story. I love the family being together and working together. I sure hope for Bette’s sake that Julia is her daughter and that they both can move forward and learn more about each other. Is Peter going to learn about his daughter also?

    11. i miss the intimacy between B&T at least in ff we can ask for that..lol..ok i have to prepare myself to read Bette and mom´s chat it will not be pretty and i hope Bette say what she is feeling…her mom need to learn a lesson..great chapter cant wait for more thanks :o)
