Tina stands and walks over and takes Bette’s hand.
Bette continue to sing, as she put her arm around Tina’s waist and hold her close. Tina lay her head on Bette’s shoulder.
You stay the course you hold the line
You keep it all together

There are times I can’t decide
When I can’t tell up from down

When otherwise I’d drown

Sometimes that’s just what we need
To get us through the day

When Bette is finished, she pulls Tina closer.
“I love you.” She whispers in Tina’s ear.
Tina is crying too much to reply.
Bette pulls away a little to look in Tina’s eyes. She smiles and leans in for a soft kiss.
Everyone else is sitting with their mouths open. They’re in shock.
Finally
“Wow, Bette, that was great. Have you thought about a new career in music?”
“You think?” Bette asks silently to Tina, so no one could hear.
“Yeah.” Tina smiles back.
They kiss once more. Then they walk over to their seat. Right then everyone started to clap their hands. Bette blushes slightly.
A few hours later:
The party is going strong. Alice and Sarah is getting along nice and is keeping the party up and running. Tina’s dad and Bette’s mom is also getting along great. They’ve been talking since dinner. Stephanie found a friend in Lauren. Jessie got to know David a little, they are the same age.
Bette takes this opportunity to take Tina away for a few minutes.
“Tina, could you come with me for a sec? I need to talk to you.” Bette says as she interrupts Tina’s talk with Chris.
“Sure, baby. I’ll be back.” She says to her brother.
They walk into the bedroom downstairs. Bette closes the door and turns towards Tina.
“Is something wrong?” Tina asks curiously.
“No, nothing is wrong. Nothing could ever be wrong.” Bette says and leans in for a kiss.
“Then what is it?” Tina asks.
“It’s about the honeymoon. We’re not leaving today.” Bette says.
“Oh, we’re not?” Tina asks.
“No, I mean, it’s our first Christmas together and our family is here. I though that we both would want to spend Christmas with our closest.” Bette says.
“Yeah, it’s nice to have everyone here.” Tina replies.
“So I ordered the trip to New Years morning. We’ll leave and celebrate New Year together alone.” Bette says.
“Oh, baby. Thank you.” Tina says.
“So you approve it?” Bette asks as she grins.
“Off course. I secretly hoped for a few days with my family.” Tina says and smiles.
“Good.” Bette replies.
“So, where are we going?” Tina asks.
“That’s still a secret.” Bette replies and leans in for a soft kiss. “But tonight we are spending alone. I’ve booked a room at the Holliday Inn, the wedding suite.” Bette says.
“Oh goody.” Tina replies smiling wide.
There is a knock on the door.
“Yeah.” Bette replies.
Dana slowly enters.
“People are waiting for your dance.” Dana says.
“Yeah, we’ll be right out.” Bette says. “So, ready?” She asks Tina.
“Yeah, I am.” Tina replies.

AHHHHHHHHH I finally finished it all (and we know this is definitely not the end!). I’m sitting here at work grinning like a big dork. lol
I know this isn’t relevant to the latest chapter, but it’s something that’s stayed in my mind since Jessie was first introduced. I could be WAY off, but I keep having this feeling that she’s somehow connected to someone else in the gang. Could that be any future “drama?” Guess we’ll have to wait and see. ;)
