Yale University…Karen’s funeral….That afternoon
Bette, Tina, Alice, Shane, and the box containing the iguana all packed Shane’s car…what’s the hold up…Bette…she can’t get out the car…she was fine until they pulled up in front of the funeral home…Tina said
Tina: “babe, you gotta try…you did good so far…now all you gotta do is add the other foot and we’re in”
Alice waved her hand and said
Alice: “fuck the baby talk…PORTER GET THE HELL OUT THE CAR!” Alice raises her voice
Shane: “Alice what the fuck?…your screaming in my ear…god…do you think you could tone it down a little?”
Alice: “I’m aggrevated…we’ve been here for over fucking 3 minutes now” she shook her head and looked out the window…
Bette turned her head instantly and said
Bette: “if you having a fucking problem then get the fuck out the car…no one wants to hear you bitch anyway” her nose flared and her eye brows lowered..
She was mad…everyone gazed over at Alice…all eyes on her…without saying another word she opened the door and then closed it instantly…she sat back in the seat…Bette said
Bette: “what happened?…you changed your mind all of a sudden” she laughed to herself and looked out the window…
Alice never responded to the brunette…she just sat quietly in the back seat…Bette opened her bag and pulled out some kleenex and wiped her face…she applied her makeup and redid her hair in the small mirror…she looked over at Tina…the blond stroked her hair…she said
Tina: “you ready?” she kissed the side of her cheek
Bette: “I’m ready”
The women all get out the car and make their way inside…They all decided to sign the guest book…they all wrote warm and farewell notes to Karen and her family…As they proceeded inside of the church Bette cliched Tina’s arm tight….The blond looked down and placed her hand on top of Bette’s…she said
Tina: “your gonna do just fine…” she caresses Bette’s hand
Alice: “god…it’s packed”
Shane: “I know…oh my god is this being taped?”
Tina: “yup…” she turns around looking at Shane
The woman arrive at the casket…there are 3 people before Bette and Tina…the brunette bows her head and cries in silence…she wipes her face and looks over at Tina…she leans on her shoulder and the blond consoles her…it’s Bette and Tina’s turn to approach the casket…

Smart choice, Bette! LMAO On a serious note, I hate funeral homes too. All the ones I’ve been in smell the same to the point that I almost hate going to a florist due to the mixed smells of various flowers.

Funerals are so gloomy and depressing, but I’m glad Bette went to say goodbye. Good to see Tina taking care of Bette’s needs during this time. LOL. Good choice indeed, Bette’s upset not stupid. LOL. Please continue.
