    Joe pays Bette a visit…

    The next morning, Bette came into her office and found a note from Franklin with the name and phone number of his friend from the University of California. Bette was about to call when she heard voices outside her door.

    «James, what the hell is go…», but the words died on her lips when she noticed Joe standing there. He seemed furious and he was looking straight at her.

    «Bette, do you want me to get Franklin?», James asked, a bit worried.

    «Franklin’s not here today. I can handle this. Joe, why don’t you come into my office».

    Joe stormed inside. His walk was a bit unstable and Bette guessed he had a few drinks before coming over. And it was only nine in the morning. Joe was obviously in a sorry shape.

    «You’re a bitch, you know that ? How could you do that to me ? Steal my future wife ! How do you sleep at night ?», Joe hollered at her, pointing his finger accusingly. Bette didn’t like his tone, but she couldn’t really blame Joe for being mad. He was obviously hurt about losing Tina and Bette knew first hand how painful that could be.

    «Joe, I’m sorry, I really am and I didn’t mean for it to happen and neither did Tina», she tried to explain.

    «You’re a liar… You went after her didn’t you ? You must have put ideas in her head, putting me down. Isn’t it what bitches like you do ? Why did you say to her ? That men were beasts and that only a woman could make her happy ? You hate men so every woman has to be like you ?».

    «Listen, I know you’re hurting, but calling me names and insulting me won’t help you get over Tina. What would your father say if he saw you like this, yelling and screaming ? Have you been drinking?»

    «The hell with my father ! He didn’t even have the guts to fire your sorry ass… But you know what ? I’ll get you for that Bette Porter ! Nobody messes with me and gets away with it ! You hear me !», he yelled one last time before he left Bette’s office.

    3. So sad that a person could stoop so low. If Tina had really loved him she would be with Bette. He needs to think of his short coming as to why Tina didnt marry him. Tires are material things, Bette has a loving beautiful,wonderful person to love. thanks

    11. Hey Milady, Good to see Bette and Tina finally being just a couple. Tina was a star in sharing her relationship with Bette with Alison. When something is so right you do want the world to share in it. Wonderful seeing them so happy and out of the closet. As for the last line, it would seem that Joe is the prime suspect but wouldn’t Bette just call AAA to sort things out? Anywho, still lioving this drama as you ramp it up a notch. More please.
