She thought, “God Porter get it to together, Tina is suppose to be resting not you. Just then she recognized that not only was she talking to herself but that she was referring to herself as Porter. A nickname that Alice had given to Bette a long time ago. Tina understood this and was never offended when Alice called Bette by her last name after they married because everyone understood this was a nickname.

Bette got up from the bed and went into the living room.

Bette: Something smells good.

Tina: Well someone is just in time for dinner.

Bette: Baby I am sorry I fell asleep on you. How are the twins?

They have been fed and are sleeping in the other bedroom. I turned the baby monitors on in case they wake up and babe don’t worry about falling asleep you need your beauty sleep, winking a Bette. Bette blushes at Tina comment and the stare she is giving her.

Wanda clears her throat and states that dinner is ready.

Tina: Great I am so hungry.

Bette: Me too.

Bette, Tina, and Wanda eat and discuss plans for Christmas and what the twins are going to need in the upcoming months. They also agreed that they all want to turn in earlier for the night so that can get a couple of hours in before the twins wake up.

Bette: Mom let me help you bring your luggage in.

Wanda: Thank you Bette.

Bette brought Wanda’s luggage in the house and thought, “Now I know where Tina gets her packing skills from.” Bette never could understand why Tina needed to pack so much stuff for a three-day trip however now Bette has seen the light. The Momma light.

Bette: Well I believe that is everything.

Wanda: Thanks Bette

Bette: You’re welcome mom

Wanda: Well, Tina are you ready to go to bed honey.

Tina wrinkles her forehead and looked from Bette to her mother.

Tina: No yet. Why are you asking?

Wanda: I just thought we all agreed to turn in early before the twins woke up and you could decide which side of the bed you wanted to sleep on.
