You Belong With Me – (Chapter: 2 – First Days in LA)
“Hey Glen stop! What the hell are you thinking! You just moved here and you can’t stay relaxed for like ten minutes!” Clay yelled pulling Glen away from Aiden just as Aiden about kicked his ass…that’s when I decided it was a good time to apologize for my idiot brother.
“Hi, sorry, that’s my brother Glen. I’m sorry you had to almost beat his ass… he really just likes to win, so it takes it hard when someone else is better than him,” I say, trying my best not to laugh as I say this…Aiden was salivating and looking me up and down (which is just funny to me when her tries to look all ‘hard’).
“Hey, it’s not a problem. I’m Aiden.” “Spencer,” I say as I accept his hand “And this is my older brother Clay and, you just met the asshole, Glen.” Clay comes over after making Glen go inside and get some water, “Hey man, I’m Clay. Sorry about that, he can just get out of hand,” Clay said shaking his hand, but Aiden’s eyes quickly travel back toward me.
“So, Spencer where did you guys just move from?” Aiden said referring to when Clay was yelling at Glen that we just got into LA and he was already making enemies.
“Oh…we just moved from Ohio,” I said as Glen came back with two bottles of water beside me.
“Here you go, man. I’m really sorry I just needed to get my anger out ‘cuz I really don’t like making new friends and I guess the moving just took me away from my life. I’m Glen by the way,” he said handing Aiden the other water.
“Oh, don’t worry about it, I understand and thanks. And yeah, your sister told me your name, I’m Aiden. Did you play ball in Ohio?”
“Yeah…are you on a team here?”
“Yeah, I just started working out with the King High team. I’ll be a freshman this year so I thought I should go to some team stuff before the actual try-outs…you should come after this, they’re at the gym and we can take the bus down to school.”
…And as much as I really wanted to hear the rest of their conversation, I just kinda spaced out watching this girl jog around the corner. She looked a lot like my new neighbor, but a half foot shorter with straight, short hair- she was pretty, but nowhere near as breathtaking as the girl yesterday (not that it stopped me from staring at her).
