Ashley’s Pov

After school Kyla rode home with me. Along with Spencer. She said Maddison was going to be at her house for the rest of the day and neither of us felt like dealing with her crap. The three of us sat around my room talking about Friday night. I didn’t exactly like the thought of Aiden being with my little sister, but as long as it got his googly eyes off of Spencer then I guess it was ok. He didn’t look at her once while we were at lunch. His eyes were all over Kyla. Lets face it. What straight girl didn’t want to get with Aiden?

Kyla’s Pov

I know I agreed to a “date” with Aiden, but I just don’t want to get with him. I hope he didn’t think it was going to be a more than friends kind of date. He made it seem like casual friend hanging out, so that’s why I said yes. I also didn’t want to shoot him down in front of his friends. How ego smashing would that be? I’ll go just to see my sister play and no funny business from Aiden. Just friends. Plus Spencer wil be there with us. Thats a relief.

I was still sitting on Ashley’s couch waiting for her to get home. She left about 30 minutes ago to take Spencer home and I was getting lonely. I could have rode with them, but I figured I could let them have a little alone time. Just then Ashley came walking through the door.

Ashley: "So, what are the plans for tonight, baby sis."
Kyla: "You’re the one who is from here. Shouldn’t I be asking you that?"
Ashley: " Well, if you want to skip school again…"
Kyla: "Not a chance. I dont want my grades to start slipping. My mom would have my ass hauled back home with her."
Ashley: "We can’t have that. I like you living here. I have never had a real family before. It’s nice. Plus, calling Spencer and setting me up to get all mushy and talk about her was amazing. I never thought I would have someone that cared enough to help me like that."
Kyla: "You’re my sister. I just want you to be happy."
