Why Superman Could Never Find a Phone Book – (Chapter: 15: Oleanna)

“Yah, I don’t really either…think of Aiden that way.”

Ashley swallowed deep, the inside of her nostrils beginning to sting as she breathed, a tight ball forming in the center of her throat. Her emotions were on the verge of betraying her as she began to lose control. She bit her bottom lip, her right foot tapping against the dirty floor in a vain attempt to absorb the rapidly forming wave of emotions that were threatening to spill over onto the floor of the shed.

    “Ash?”

“Yah,” the words spilling out of her mouth milliseconds after Spencer said her name, as if the three letters of her response would crush Spencer’s word like a wrecking ball, mashing it into a thin paste, where she would add cement, carefully smooth it over with a metal plate, and then let it dry.

“How would you feel if he… touched you?”

Ashley was drowning. He fingers began to rip away from her pant material, swaying free against her sides, free to roam and seek what she wanted. Sweat drizzled down her temples to her cheeks, her small chest heaving in and out, as if her only source of oxygen was through a tiny little straw.

She opened her mouth to speak, her tongue dry and pasty, and her lower jaw trembling uncontrollably. Aiden was in the yard now, milling around the bushes, his neck jerking to the left and craning upwards, like a frightened gopher that had the balls to take a peak.

    “…I, um, I, uh…I’m not sure. "

Spencer pressed her body against Ashley, the cold metal of her belt startling Ashley as it pressed against her bare skin. Aiden glanced at the shed, but then turned and went back around the west side of the house.

    “…Ash…?”

A tear spilled down Ashley’s right cheek and she swiped it away quickly, hoping Spencer couldn’t really see her face in the dimly lit shed. The lemon tree was her focal point. She had to remain faithful to it.

Once she turned, everything would change. Everything. Which is what she wanted, but she couldn’t handle; not after today. Not after Spencer’s sudden mood swing, her sudden lashing out that was hell bent on alienating Ashley; hurting her, making her second guess every fucking tiny thing that transpired between the two.

    1. Sooo I see Spence made the first move and then she tries to make Ash feel bad, This sucks, I mean the fics amazing but man I want them to get together already. LOL keep up the great work

    2. Holy crap!! that was really, really good. Yes, this is definately an interesting side of Spence to see….both of them in the bathroom, and then Spence appearing to freak when Aiden arrived….Spence makin the first move in the shed. It’s so funny to try and picture Aiden as an out of shape dork. haha. Can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen next…or in the past…or whatever the next chapter holds.

    3. i’m speachless. which is a good thing. really really good. BEST FANFIC I have ever read. hell better then alot of books I have read and I read alot. keep posting

    4. I don’t think any comment I could leave you would truly show my appreciation for it. There is so much to say about this chapter, and really just about your writing in general that I don’t even know where to start. I’m really impressed with how creative of an individual you are. Each chapter of this story is almost completely different from the last in terms of the imagery that you use, and yet all of the chapters seem to fit together. I’ll leave you another comment on this later because a million thoughts ran through my head while I was reading this post, and I can’t remember most of them right now.
